The mood board illustrates some of the photo selections for my music magazine FUSION. They are taken in a photo shoot studio because it was the most appropriate location to shoot images of the mode of address as the weather conditions outside were terrible. The positive thing about taking pictures for my front cover, contents page and double page spread in a studio is that the lighting settings will automatically be adjusted to how it needs to be such as low lighting to show a mysterious side and effect that conforms to the conventions of R&B music or high lighting that enhances the features of the mode of address especially the females as they are features to aspire the target audience and conform to the male gaze theory as they are showing cleavage, positioning themselves, facial expression and posses of how people want to see them, how they want to be seen and how other women want to see them.

These images conforms to the codes and conventions of a typical R&B music magazine because typical dull, masculine and dark colours are used such as black, white, blue and silver. The images chosen, the women's are objectified as sex objects, trophies or submissive by the clothes they wear, they way they pose and the facial expressions they have which aspires young female target audience. This conforms to the male gaze theory as this is how the target audience wants to see them and by satisfying their needs the mode of address performs this way. The images are iconography as ‘bling’ such as chain is being shown off to represent wealth and success, black glasses with suit to imply there is also sophistication in this genre. By doing this, they are expressing their self-esteem and confidence, this conforms to the Maslow's theory. They way the models are posing, the clothes they are wearing, the props involved and expressions is all iconographic to the genre.
