SITE ACCESS CONTROL– Main Gate

All workers involved in construction works shall enter and leave the job site only through identified and guarded gates and in strict adherence to rules stipulated by YERP .

– Security passes All personnel shall at all times carry the

required security passes to be presented upon request.

Passes required for accessing Work areas shall be processed according to Saudi Aramco security system.

All vehicles working inside Working areas shall have Saudi Aramco security passes per Saudi Aramco security system.

Personnel shall not be allowed to carry or use cameras of any kind, unless a permit has been obtained from RED SEA. Any one taking un authorized photographs will be reported to Enppi site Manager who will take appropriate action.

• TYPES OF PERMIT

1. Type of work permits• Release of Hazardous Liquids or Gases

(yellow) This form is required when opening lines or vessels that may release hazardous or toxic materials.

• Hot Work, Form (red) - This form is required when using spark or flame producing equipment and for vehicle entry into a restricted area.

• Cold Work, Form (blue) - This form is for work that will not produce sufficient energy to ignite flammable atmospheres/materials

• Confined Space Entry, Form (green) - This form is required for tank cleaning, tank inspection, work in sewers or excavations of 4 feet or deeper.

EXCAVATION

○ Work permits must be obtained from the appropriate operations supervisor before excavation work is started in any Saudi Aramco facility, including residential areas and roadways, and in any place where the presence of underground/utility obstructions is known or suspected

○ A Confined Space Entry Work Permit is a second work permit and is required for trenches deeper than 1.2 meters (4 feet).

○ Excavation plans must be submitted to Loss Prevention before work start up.

Page 41: Construction Safety

THERE ARE THREE CONCEPTS IN BASIC RADIATION PROTECTION. THEY ARE:

1- Time 2- Distance 3- Shielding

• If you decrease the amount of time you spent near the source of radiation, you will decrease the amount of radiation exposure you receive.

• The farther away you are from a radiation source, the less the exposure.

• The intensity of radiation from a source varies inversely as the square of the distance from the source.

• If you increase the shielding around a radiation source, it will decrease your exposure.
