IMAGE CHOICES

IMAGE CHOICES The images I took for my dps were taken in a photography

studio. My model is the same person I used for my front cover but I took different pictures. She is wearing a chain, earrings and rings, these conform to the usual R&B artist. For the low angle pictures I got onto the floor, this gives her a more superior look. I made sure my artist was using direct mode of address to engage the reader. I have had to use two images on my DPS to ensure I have 4 images through out my magazine. One of the images was a medium shot and the other a close up. To make sure they blended in with the page I used the magic wand tool, to cut out the images, then I used the paint bucket tool to make sure they were the same white as the page.

CHOSEN IMAGES These are the two images I have chosen. The image on the right was taken whilst I was standing on a chair, this makes my model look empowering and taller. The image on the left was taken straight on and I zoomed in. I feel both of these images show two different personas, which is why I chose them. One of the quotes used on my DPS is “It was me vs. me”, I feel these two images represent that.

COLOUR AND FONT CHOICESThe colours and fonts I used, were the same

through out my magazine. Things such as here name and quote used the colour pink, which is the colour I’ve been using through out my magazine to identify the mastheads and other important things. The colour purple was used as a subheading to help make my paragraphs more visible, and to identify the questions. I used the colour black for the main text, because it is the easiest thing to read. The font sizes were 14 for the main text, 17 for the subheadings and 150 for the name Shaniya.
