Corridor 111 is part of fully sprinkled building #2 allowed to be non-rated per IBC Table 1018.1 with occupant load < 30. Corridor 176 is within the sprinkled portion of Building #1 and totally separated from unsprinkled areas by 2-hr fire rated separation walls. With consent of MABCD committee, this is requested for consideration of equivalent substitution to the intent of IBC IBC Table 1018.1, with sprinkler requirements shown to be sufficient by sealed document provided by FSC, Inc. Consulting Engineers and provided to MABCD via email dated October 8, 2018. ARCHITECT’S SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTIONS

CONTRACTOR - PLEASE make revisions as noted:

• Add fire sprinkler zone: Wet Fire Sprinkler shall be added to

Building #1, north and east of the 2-hour fire wall separation. Code

sheet G14.1 revised to indicate zone for additional sprinkler area plus

wet area of Building #2, and to reallocate corridor occupant loads to

below 30 at both 111 and 176. Corridor 111 is part of fully sprinkled

building #2 allowed to be non-rated per IBC Table 1018.1 with occupant

load < 30. Corridor 176 is within the sprinkled portion of Building #1

and totally separated from unsprinkled areas by 2-hr fire rated

separation walls. With consent of MABCD committee, this is requested

for consideration of equivalent substitution to the intent of IBC IBC

Table 1018.1, with sprinkler requirements shown to be sufficient by

sealed document provided by FSC, Inc. Consulting Engineers and

provided to MABCD via email dated October 8, 2018.
