This is scanned copy of the articles published by John L Spivak in which he exposed the 1933 testimony of retired General Smedly Butler of the Wall Street coup attempt against the elected government of the United States. Gen. Butler alleged that wealthy bankers and industrialists led by JP Morgan had asked him to lead a coup by war veterans. The testimony was open to the Press but nobody dared to reported it. Spivak, who was a closet Communist, was the only one to report it. Later, it seems that Spivak realized that Communist was financed from New York and he sought to underplay the "business plot."
