CONSOLIDATD MONTHLY REPORT-November 2019 ACTIVITY REPORT 1. Monthly Common Test was conducted across all the centres for November month and marks scored by the students were recorded in the central databased for progress monitoring. 2. Due to ongoing construction work of boundary wall around NIT campus, a new location for shifting the NIT centre has been finalized. Volunteers would travel to the new location by an auto every day for taking classes for children. The new centre would be adjacent to the Ikchapur Centre. 3. Regular attendance and classes update are received from both the centres at Kalahandi. Sankalp is now trying to gather funds for making the existing school, a residential one. 4. Navodaya mock papers are regularly being sent to the concerned teacher of Dhanbad Centre for practising and sharpen the preparedness for the exam. 5. Sankalp has started receiving daily class updates after a new teacher has been appointed at the centre. 6. Teachers at Giridih Centres have been asked to select their daily topics from the school syllabus and not just stick to the Sankalp syllabus 7. Teachers of our Kalahandi Centres organized a pan-village campaign by the slogan “SAVE GIRL CHILD” for awareness in the villagers against female infanticide. 8. Lalit Ji has started taking extra classes for students appearing for board exam in the year 2020. 9. The modalities for starting free of cost school for underprivileged children at Giridih has been finalized and funds would be made available by Lions Club, Giridih 10. There has been a massive rise in the strength recorded at Adarsh Bhawan Centre in the past 2 months. While it was as low as 12-13 in September, around 35-40 students attended the classes almost daily in the month of October & November. 11. SANKALP ORGANIZED ITS 4 TH ANNUAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL FOR STUDENTS FROM ALL THE JAMSHEDPUR BASED CENTRES. Sanskriti 2019 was a massive hit with first place bagged by the combined team of NIT & Ikchapur Centres. The event for the first time in history saw the participation from an Outlocations centre, Talnuagaon & Mohangiri. Lalit ji travelled ALL THE WAY FROM Orissa along with 12 students and their parents. Their presence added ice to the cake as the students also presented their Sambhalpuri Folk Dance, which is internationally acclaimed & recognized by UNESCO. The students were given prizes for their efforts & success. 12. Subhash, our 2k14 batch volunteer visited Navodaya Centre to give the exam oriented tips success tips to all the students, He was quite appreciative of the efforts of the volunteers for their timely completion of the syllabus. 13. Children’s Day was celebrated across all the centres. Students were asked to write an essay on their favourite teacher at Dhanbad Centre while singing, dance & other competitions were held at other centres. 14. Children’s Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm at our Kalahandi & Birhor Centre, Sihodih, Sitalpur & Durga Mandir Cnetres of Giridih. The students were taught about the importance of education and the impact that it creates on our lives. 15. Students from our Dhanbad Centre made a collage consisting of centre pictures & photos.

Navodaya exam and computer training classes.
17. President has completed Hindi syllabus at both the centres of Navodaya and focus is
now on comprehensive tests to gauge the students level and bring improvement.
18. Lalit ji and sarojit ji, our Kalahandi centres coordinators and teachers have decided
that they will conduct an awareness program each Sunday in one of the village of the
district on girl literacy, harmful impact of child marriage thru nukkad natak presented
by the students enrolled at the centre
19. Monthly interaction led by President took place with the Team and special mention was
made to the tireless efforts which the volunteers are making for making the different
activities successful
