Conservation of high altitude wetlands in arunachal pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh ranks second in the country after Jammu and Kashmir in the number of high altitude lakes. The geography of the state lends a different character to the conservation needs of the high altitude wetlands. The present paper reviews the status of inventorisation, conservation, management structures, legal issues, threats and opportunities regarding high altitude lakes in Arunachal Pradesh.
