CONNECTIONS While it may be true that Santa’s ELVES are small, they sure do manage to bring a lot of joy at Christmastime! Jesus came as a tiny baby, yet He brought us the hope of eternal life! So you see, good things often come in small packages! You’ll find a touch of Christmas magic in every little thing we have planned for this holiday season. On Thursdays, December 3, 10, and 17 our very own ELF on the Shelf will be hiding somewhere in the building by 3:30 in the afternoon. The lucky resident who finds him each day will receive a special gift for returning him to the front desk! Several times throughout the month we’ll enjoy working on theme-related Word Search Puzzles, sometimes accompanied by special treats or trivia. On Friday, December 11 we will be conducting a Country ELVES Christmas Photo Shoot in the Main Dining Room. Stop by anytime between 10:00 and 2:00 to have your picture taken in front of our festive Christmas backdrop. We’ll email your 2020 Christmas photo to your family, pass out a print to you, and post the pictures on our community bulletin board. Don’t miss this opportunity to gift your family with a Christmas photo they will treasure. What could be more festive than decorating Christmas cookies at Santa’s Cookie Workshop on December 17? Come join us for all the tasty fun and tell us about your favorite Christmas cookie recipes and traditions. We’ll be playing some festive games of Roll & Cover ELVES on December 30. Our Christmas celebrations may have to be smaller this year, but they will be no less sweet — so Have YoursELF A Merry Little Christmas at Mt. Carmel Community at The Village! Mt. Christmas Advent During our Daily Devotional time on Wednesdays, December 2, 9, 16, and 23, as well as on Thursday, December 24 we will be observing Advent in preparation for the celebration of our Savior’s birth. All of the Wednesday dates will be held at 9:00 in the Sitting Area at the end of the 100 Hall. The Christmas Eve Advent Celebration will take place in the Theater.

Christmas Worship Opportunities Chaplain Carol will be conducting two identical worship services each Sunday in December and two Candlelight Services on Christmas Eve. In order to help us with social distancing, if you are a regular attender she will send you a request asking you to attend at a specific time. For all others, rest assured that we will find a safe spot for you to worship with your Mt. Carmel family!

New Year’s Eve Celebration We’re planning an All That Glitters New Year’s Eve Party for December 31 as a great way to celebrate the end of one year and usher in another. Come help us ring out the old and ring in the new with delicious snacks and a “glittering,” bubbly toast.

Walmart Shopping News Julie will continue to pick up necessities for you at Walmart this month. You will need to turn in your money and lists by 4:00 on Mondays, November 30 and December 28; or by noon on Monday the 14th. Your items will be delivered to you on the following day.

• Join us for the delightful New York Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular at 2:00 on the 7th.

• We’ll also feature a beautiful Christmas Concert by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in our Theater on December 8.
