1 Step 1 Check the current radio station settings. Step 2 Remove the necessary panels to obtain access to the wiring. Step 3 Identify the wire that will be used for the fitment. Refer to the attached wiring diagrams Step 4 Remove the negative battery terminal to prevent possible shorting during installation. Step 5 Integrate the positive wire from the tracking devise into the selected wire on the vehicle. Use the following crimping method. Note: No wire must be cut and re-joined. Step 6 Install the earth wire onto body earth. Toyota would prefer that the earth wire be bolted onto the body and not spliced into existing body earth wires. Note: No wiring should be soldered on Toyota vehicles. Step 7 Place the unit in an area that will not interfere with any of the vehicles functions. Below are some examples of functional items. a SRS (Safety Restraint Systems) b Steering c Gear shift d Brake, accelerator and clutch pedals. e Parking Brake f Ventilation system (Air vents and flaps) Note: The unit must be placed and insulated in such a way that it will not cause rattles. Step 8 Assemble the vehicle interior. Step 9 Re-connect the battery. Step 10 Tune the radio back to the original radio stations. A: Connection in Engine Room Junction / Relay Block
A positive connection can be made within the Engine Room Junction /
Relay Block to the Tracking device.
The AM2 wire (white / red) flowing from the AM2 fusible link to the
Starter relay may be used for this connection.
The bolts of the Engine Room Junction / Relay Block must be removed
in order to remove the bottom cover.
