Project UpdateThe City of London initiated the initial phase of this project in September 2013 to evaluate alternative solutions, prepare a conceptual design and cost estimates for a multi-use crossing of the CNR Line in Kiwanis Park. The following summarizes the work completed to-date:
• Notice of Commencement for Class EA –September 2013;
• Public Information Centre (PIC) #1 (study introduction, planning alternatives) – November 13, 2013
• Public Information Centre (PIC) #2 (evaluation of alternatives, selection of preferred alternative) –June 18, 2014;
• Notice of Study Completion – May, 2015;• ESR Document on public record – May 25, 2015;
30-day Review Period Closed, ESR Accepted –June 25, 2015; and
• Detailed Design and Approvals– December 2016 to Spring 2017.

Construction-Related ImpactsDue to the large scale of this project, the public and local residents/businesses may experience construction-related impacts, such as:
• Emergency services access to be maintained at all times. • Pedestrian access to the existing South Kiwanis Park Connection be
maintained. • Potential for short-term overnight construction to avoid peak rail traffic periods.• Noise, dust, vibrations, etc. Efforts will be made to minimize where possible.
AECOM personnel to be on site at all times to address questions or concerns. Contractor and AECOM site contact information will be provided prior to construction.

The City of London is inviting comments and suggestions from residents regarding the accessible design feature(s) of this project, as required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.More specifically, regarding the Pedestrian Pathway Connection Across CNR Lands in Kiwanis Park project, we would like to consult on the following items
• Slope of trail• Need for and location of ramps• Need for and location of rest areas, passing areas, and viewing areas• Amenities on the trail• Any other pertinent features.
• All proposed pathways for this project will be asphalt with a minimum width of 3 metres and a maximum slope of 8%, as per City of London Park Design Standards.
