● Tailor your remarks accordingly.● Court the reader and the media at

the same time!

How Often and When to PostOpinions vary but 4-6 posts per day is reasonable. Schedule posts to appear throughout the day and not all at once. Always post if you have news to share!

Post when your audience is online. For leisure reading, after office hours, weekends. For business books, during the work day.

More tips on social media● Be brief, funny, entertaining, informative. personal and professional. Mix it

up but always maintain a certain percentage of focus on your topic and your book.

● Develop themes and topics which you become known for, a.k.a. “branding” or an identity

● Maintain your presence, daily if possible.● Use hashtags on Facebook as well as Twitter such as #books #authors ● Share other people’s posts. Retweet. Reblog.● Save time by cross-posting
