The staff of the Connecticut Training and Technical Assistance Center (T2) would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to those individuals who completed the Road Master, Road Scholar, Legal Traffic Authority, Public Works Academy, Transportation Leadership and Safety Champion programs in 2019.
We could not be more proud of the value you have found in the programs we have developed to support your professional development and to ensure a quality transportation workforce of the future.
You have dedicated your time and effort to completing these comprehensive learning programs. This is certainly a positive reflection on your commitment to excellence in your profession and to your personal and professional development. Many of you have also supported the participation of your employees in these programs, a great way to develop your teams and to support a succession planning strategy. The Connecticut Public Works Academy is an educational program designed to provide both new and current public works employees with a broad overview of the fundamental skills needed to be a public works professional. The graduates of the Road Scholar program have completed an advanced certificate program designed for those individuals who have graduated from the CT Road Master program. This program is geared toward officials such as Directors of Public Works, Town Engineers, Highway Supervisors, and Foremen or those who aspire to these future Public Works leadership positions.

Connecticut Legal Traffic Authorities are municipal officials that are responsible for establishing traffic regulations and authorizing installation of traffic control devices. The graduates of the Connecticut Legal Traffic Authority Program received specialized training to assist them in successfully meeting the demands of their positions.
2019Transportation Leadership Program
The graduates of the Transportation Leadership Program have successfully completed eight leadership-related workshops and presented a final capstone project to a group of their peers. The program is designed for Directors of Public Works, Town Engineers, Highway Superintendents, Road Foremen and individuals who aspire to hold leadership positions in municipal and state transportation agencies.
