Cutting MetalYour Scorpion Saw can be used for cutting lightgauge ferrous and non-ferrous metals such ascopper, brass, aluminium, etc. See recommendedmaterials. It is advisable when cutting thin sheet to clamp abacking sheet of soft wood or plywood to the workas this will enable you to obtain a cleaner cut. Bothmetal and wood backing are sawn together. Do notforce the cutting blade into the metal as this willreduce the life of the blade and possibly damage themotor. Cutting thin metal will take longer than cuttingeven a relatively thick piece of wood, so do not betempted to speed up the operation by forcing thesaw. Spread a thin film of oil along the proposedcutting line before cutting.Only use the metal cutting blade for this purpose.
