The secret of the PNOZmulti’s success is the software tool PNOZmulti
Configurator – ingeniously simple, simply ingenious. Instead of wiring, you
can simply configure your safety circuit on a PC. Now the success story is
being updated with the PNOZmulti 2 – the Configurator remains as simple
and flexible as it ever was. The hardware offers some new, interesting
features. The base unit PNOZ m B0 has an illuminated display, enabling
rapid diagnostics as well as commissioning. What’s more, with a power
consumption of just 0.8 W, the base unit is very energy efficient, plus it
provides 20 safe inputs and 4 safe semiconductor outputs (PL e, SIL CL 3)
at a width of 45 mm. As a result the unit consumes up to 80 % less energy
than comparable products.
Maximum flexibility
As a modular safety system, the base unit PNOZ m B0 can be expanded
with a wide range of modules, so our safety solution can grow with the
machine as it expands or as its requirements change. Using input and
output modules to expand the system increases its flexibility. On the left-hand
side you can connect communication modules with either serial or ETH
interface, and one of different fieldbus modules. A maximum of 4 expansion
modules can be connected on the right-hand side. You can choose between
an input module with 16 safe inputs and a semiconductor output modul with
8 safe inputs and 4 safe outputs or a relay output module with 4 safe inputs
and 4 safe relay outputs.
Future-proof as well
And you can look forward to further developments. With the PNOZmulti
you can play it safe – it’s the worldwide safety standard for all machine types.
You always have a one-stop safety solution, which can easily be adapted to
changing requirements, whichever standard control system you use.
Expansion modules increase the system’s flexibility.
