Transformat ive Personal Change: Looking in the MirrorAllah (SWT ) said, ?If We willed We could send down a sign from heaven to them, to which they would bow their necks in humility.? (Qur'an 26:4).

Allah could have created us all in submission from the start . He chose not to. How can we change ourselves to be in true submission to Allah. We must go back to square one and work from the inside out, beginning with sett ing clear intent ions for all our act ions. Realizing God?s complete and authoritat ive dominion is a source of solace, contentment and motivat ion to act ion. Speakers in this session will not only focus on the necessary kind of faith and hope but also how we can manifest that in ourselves.

Looking Deep: Who Are We

As Muslim Youth in North America, we are constant ly being told that we are the leaders of tomorrow, but how can we be ready to be the leaders of tomorrow? Jundub bin Abdullah said: ?We were with the Prophet (saw), and we were strong youths, so we learned Imaan before we learned Quran. Then we learned Quran and our faith increased thereby.? (Ibn Majah). As shown in the hadith, before even learning Quran, the youth of the Prophet (PBUH)?s t ime learned Imaan. So, for the youth of today, we must first strengthen our Imaan, our deen, and our faith before we attempt to fulfill our dut ies as leaders of tomorrow. InshAllah, this session will emphasize this, but will also emphasize the importance of standing up for ourselves (Islamaphobia).

Loving Allah

Frequently, youth are pushed by their parents and elders to pray, read the Qur'an, make dua, and so much more. But as they grow up, many perform these acts because their parents told them to do so. More often than not, youth do not seek further learning of a deeper understanding behind Islam and why these acts of worship are important. Youth must strive to empower themselves and strengthen their faith.

Diseases of the Heart - Ego

Unfortunately, as we progress through our lives in the present day, society has pressured us to mistake our confidence with ego. The sad reality is that people nowadays want you to be humble unt il you are actually humble, and because we are pressured to become egot ist ical, we fall into the trap. InshaAllah this session will provide in depth descript ion of our heart in Islam and how we should not have a hard heart. How can we strengthen our deen without first curing our heart? We can?t.
