DESCRIPTION SCULPTURES, STATUES, CONCRETE COMPONENTS
Our BIG 3D-Printer produces fully automatic concrete components such as sculptures,
statues or complex facade parts out of digital templates.
And that is not everything!
The component can be automatically provided with the necessary reinforcement to meet
static requirements during the print, on request.
For exact contours and details, it is equipped with milling cutters. Upon request we provide
you with the 3D scanner to capture your print object digitally.
In short: Our printer allows you to scan your favourite object, define new dimensions and print it in concrete overnight!
HOUSES
Houses are as usual designed by an architect. Full freedom in creativity is granted, problems
with curved shapes and free shapes during the manufacturing process are things of the past.
After the draft, the house is divided into individual parts in the detailed design.
The printer produces the individual components in a workshop or on the building site.
After the curing of the components, the elements are assembled into the planned house.
In short: With our printer you can print curving parts, freeform parts or even your whole dream house!
APPLICATIONS
Concrete part manufacturing: Stairs, spiral staircases, facade elements, furniture
Art and Horticulture: Sculptures / statues and free forms
House building: Single- and multi-storey houses

OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION
TRACK MOTION The track motion transports the BIG 3D-Printer along the U-axis from one job to another. The cutting unit for the reinforcement is being pulled along, the concrete pumps are stationary.
CARTESIAN SYSTEM The Cartesian System is a development consisting of a three- and four strap carbon rod truss with aluminium nodes. It is mounted on the track motion and moves the print head with the upmost precision in the X- and Y-axes.
ADVANCEMENT OF MATERIAL The reinforcement is being transported to the Cartesian System via a conveyor system. The
concrete material is being transported with concrete pumps to the print head.

PRINTING PROCESS The print head which is attached to the Cartesian System stacks the concrete layer by layer.
The required reinforcements for static loads are inserted to the robot between the printings
of the individual layers. In order to give the concrete the necessary setting time, the printer
moves to the next manufacturing sector, while the previously manufactured component
grows numb.
The U-axis along the track motion is divided into different production sectors. With this
system, finished components may already be outsourced while the printer is still creating
the next components.
Sector 1 Sector 2 Sector 3 When the printer has printed the first component part in the last sector, it starts again in sector 1 with the printing of the second layer.
Sector 1 Sector 2 Sector 3 This process ensures that the existing layer withstands the pressure of the new layer.
