compliance defined• Interest to become official packagers from

several people, need to start the process now, PT to take ownership of packaging by EMI 2

• Changes for multiple platforms to policies, dashboards, reports

• Central place to tell which client to use for each build, more information requested on how to use the tools

• Clarify probes on the testbed• Multi-platform testbed (Tools? Frozen VM?)• Refine metrics in support of tech/release

plans (e.g. Rpmlint)

• Tracker in place and used, all area tasks and all 2011 cross-area tasks defined

• Several unclear cross-area objectives have been clarified– Impact of cloud requirements on JRA1 to be

clarified• But there are too many tasks!

–Several EMI2-planned developments will have to continue in Y3, need to cut in Y3

controversial– Focus on APIs

• Reduction of SLOC as only metric probably not realistic, consider also deployment, usage simplification

Messaging, Accounting• Good progress presented

– Open issues identified– Recommendation to understand what can be

done within EMI, development must finish early enough to release the services and support them

• Start now on EMI 1 components– Find problems as soon as possible, experience

made now on EMI 1 is necessary for EMI 2• Do not mix porting and packaging, they are

separate issues• EMI 1 components ready for sl6 can be

released, the rest must come with EMI 2

• Integration testing not clear• Appoint an integration team

– Definition and prioritization of integration tests– Execution of tests

• Composed of PT testers with an overall leader– A proposal for composition roles made– Volunteers welcome within a week, then a

decision should be taken

• We do not fully understand the users interest in cloud and what they are really looking for

• Before spending effort on implementation, understand user needs and whether they can be addressed with what we have, either in EMI or within current EMI partners (ECB recommendation)

• Modify technical plan accordingly

• Basic EMI Sustainability lies in making sure existing communities keep using EMI services and support them after EMI

• Going beyond that requires the creation of a different structure able to offer an open source marketplace to increase visibility of individual products and a stable focal point for innovation and collaboration

• To be better defined in the coming months
