GreetingsGreetings and welcome to our ESG

Concert Season! Our 2017-2018

series includes some of Canada’s

finest performers and ensembles.

We begin our season with the

Amadeus Choir of Greater

Toronto, under the direction of Dr.

Lydia Adams, performing United in

Song – Celebrating Canada 150. This spectacular concert

will feature music from across Canada and will be a very

special event, as we celebrate Canada 150 in song.

Our second concert, All Bells in Paradise, will feature the

Trillium Brass and our ESG Choir. This yearly tradition

is an opportunity to get yourselves into the Christmas spirit

with carols, choir, organ and brass.

Our third concert, From Darkness to Light, will feature

Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna and Ruth Watson Henderson’s

From Darkness to Light. We are excited to welcome the The

Cellar Singers who will join our ESG Choir for this joint

presentation.

Our final concert, Joyful Sounds – A Tribute to Elmer Iseler,

will be a very special evening of music and reflections as 2018

marks the 20th year since Elmer’s passing. This concert will

be a choral celebration of his continued legacy featuring a

world premiere by Imant Raminsh and Special Guests The

Gryphon Trio, Clarinetist James Campbell and Flautist

Robert Aitken.

We hope you will consider being part of this very exciting

season of concerts at ESG, where music is part of ESG’s

broader outreach focus.
