WIN ROMANIA NEWS On 27 th February, 2014 the organization WiN Romania organized the 2nd General Forum, in accordance with its statute. Within the 2 years from its official registration, WiN Ro has succeeded to consolidate a self sustainable and friendly organization inside and to be perceived acting for an efficient and good quality communication process with stakeholders related to the peaceful use of nuclear energy. The consolidation of the organization would have not been possible without the professionalism and dedication invested by first WiN Ro President Mihaela STIOPOL. Mihaela recently retired from its professional activity and her desire was to continue to support WiN activities acting in the Board Committee of WiN Ro. Following this year election, Ms. Cristina BUCUR was assigned as President WiN Romania. WiNRo is organized in three branches in function of the three significant sites with nuclear activities in Romania: Veronica Andrei - Bucharest branch, Luminita Stanciu - Cernavoda NPP branch and Minodora Apostol - Pitesti branch. Career : 27 years experience in environmental measurements, 14 years experience in management and supervisory Environmental Laboratory, 16 years experience in Tritium and Carbon -14 measurements, Technical co-operation expert for IAEA project – safety and environmental impact assessment for Nuclear Power Plant Egypt. Veronica ANDREI has extensive knowledge and about 18 years experience in activities for promotion, preparation, approval and licensing of investments and activities in nuclear field, particularly in radioactive waste management, including actions at international level. Both from acting for its professional duties or NGOs like the Romanian Association for Nuclear Energy (AREN) or WiN Romania, Veronica has actively contributed for successful communication with stakeholders, starting from representative of academic and scientific organizations to political and governmental authorities at national level or local authorities and communities hosting the nuclear facilities. Currently, Veronica works for Energonuclear, the Romanian company acting as vehicle for the Project of Unites 3 & 4 - Cernavoda NPP.
