Computer Power is a
• S.T.E.M. based class• Science• Technology• Engineering• Math
that has 12 different learning “modules”.
Each day students:
• Log on and have an “online” multi-media lesson that they view on the computer.
• Take a “computer generated” quiz or test based on their online lesson.
• Work on a hands-on project or activity.
Some of the Learning Modules:
• R&D Learn about designing and building a CO2
powered dragster.• Forensic Science Learn about crime scene investigation.• Structural Engineering Learn about building and testing beams,
trusses and bridges.
• Computer Graphics and Animation
Learn about graphic design and create animations.
• Flight TechnologyLearn about aerodynamics and build a
compressed air rocket.• Materials ProcessingLearn how “stuff” gets made and use power
tools.
Go from designing a dragster…
To making a prototype...
Using the drill press to make a CD holder.
To a finished dragster.
