Mood Boosters foods for Love
The most emphasized expression of love for any
occasion is 'food'. But do you know that some foods help
in secretion of "Serotonin", a hormone responsible for
feelings of happiness and love. Serotonin is a brain
transmitter (brain chemical) released to help regulation
of vital body functions, especially mood and sleep.
So, on the occasion of Valentines you can boost your
partner's mood by making scrumptious recipes loaded
with serotonin like these..

I thought I would share with you a greathealing experience. A patient of mineasked me to see her husband, a very fit 35-
year old male, who had injured an ankle
bone but I knew from talking to his wife that
he was not very open to energy medicine
and homeopathy.
His bone fracture was not healing, and the
doctors were suggesting a medical surgery
to insert metal to bind the bones. While this
can bring complications, it seems that about
20% of bone fractures do not heal by
themselves. My consultation with my new
patient was 5 days before the final check-up
that would determine if he was to have the
surgery.
While I am usually very confident in terms of
my work, and that I have a 100% success
with healing bone fractures, I could not stop
worrying that 5 days may be too short. Also,
in that particular situation, there was no
obvious physical and nutritional cause. It
transpired that my client was very healthy,
had a good diet and no health issues, he had
also started calcium supplements. His bone
just did not want to heal before our
consultation.
So I was glad when his wife emailed me after
the check up to inform me that his doctors
confirmed that the bones were finally healing
very well and he would not require surgery.
HURRAY!!!"
This also revived in me the internal debate
into how little we understand much about the
body, and especially the link between health
and nutrition. The body is a very complex
mechanism, with millions of impulses and
metrics being kept in tight range without us
being aware of them. Breathing, heart
beating, cell destructions and tissue
replacement are all made in the background,
without the power of our mind. Supporting

this inner force is what any form of holistic
medicine is all about.
While poor diet and lifestyle habits are part of
any chronic conditions, just taking a
supplement, or eating more of this food of less
of that food, will in most cases not bring proper
healing. While this may bring some form of
palliation on some symptoms, the changes may
also disturb and overload an already fragile
body.
The body's vitality and inner abilities to function
often needs to be "re-activated". This is
especially true with motor-motor neural &nerve degeneration diseases. Holisticmedicine, and myself included, have far much
less success in these areas. However, with
time, I have seen amazing results when I
started to add the right mix of energyremedies. Only adding high quality fat andphospholipid, the popular nutritional route, has
never been as effective as assisting thebody's inner vital force for me.
I still do not know how homeopathy works, but I
use it after a deep analysis to see how it can be
used to strengthen the body's own mechanism,
at an organ level or a whole-body level. Often, I
get great progress from the start, and equally
often more consultations are required to find
and address deeper issues.
Being in our body, and being a human being is
an amazing, magical experience. And we need
to give ourselves due respect and appreciation.
One always copes much better in a more
health body.

MAJOR HEALTH ISSUES LIKE
AND STROKES DONT SUDDENLY HAPPENHEART ATTACKSImagine a plumbing pipe in your home that gets furred up from the lime scale in our water supply,
or a pipe burst in the freezing cold weather.
Water pipes burst because the water inside them expands is it gets close to freezing, and this
causes an increase in pressure inside the pipe. When the pressure gets too high for the pipe to
contain, it ruptures.
Consider then what would happen if you had a blockage in your arteries. High blood pressure
causes pressure build-up within our arteries and so does plaque build-up. These two common

causes of heart attacks and strokes have no
symptoms. Very often the symptom IS the
heart attack or the stroke which is why you
hear people say oh he/she was as fit as a
fiddle and then dropped dead!
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the biggest
killer in Europe. You may find some of the
following statistics alarming:
Heart Disease
Almost 1 in 5 men and 1 in 8women die from heart disease.
Heart Disease is responsible for 82,000deaths in the UK each year, anaverage of 224 people each day
More than 26,000 people under the ageof 75 in the UK died from Heart Diseasein 2009
There are nearly 2.7 million peopleliving with heart disease in the UK
There are more than 1.6 million menand more than a million women withheart disease in the UK.
Death rates from heart disease arehighest in Scotland and northernEngland and lowest in southernEngland
The UK spends 3.2 billion eachyear on healthcare costs for heartdisease.
Heart attack (myocardial infarction)
Most deaths from heart diseaseare caused by a heart attack.
There are around 124,000 heartattacks in the UK each year.
Around 62,000 men and 39,000women in England suffer a heart attackeach year.
In England, around 11% of men and15% of women who were admitted to
hospital with a heart attack die within 30days.
The chances of dying from a heartattack increases with age and is higherin women than men.
We estimate there are around1,000,000 men and nearly 500,000women living in the UK who have had aheart attack. More than 900,000 ofthese are under the age of 75.
Every six minutes someone dies of aheart attack in the UK
One in three people who have a heartattack die before reaching hospital.
Heart failure
Around 750,000 people are living withheart failure in the UK.
We estimate there are more than 27,000new cases of heart failure in the UKeach year.
Incidence of heart failure is 60% higherin men compared with women.
Incidence of heart failure is highest inNorthern Ireland.
Stroke
Stroke causes more than 49,000deaths in the UK each year
In England and Scotland, strokeincidence rates are about 25% higher inmen than women.
Around 84,000 men and 68,000women in England suffer a strokeevery year.
There are approximately 152,000strokes in the UK each year
We estimate nearly 1.2 million peopleliving in the UK have had a stroke -roughly evenly split between men and
PAGE 18
women. Around half of these people areunder the age of 75
Risk factors of heart disease
In Great Britain, 21% of adults smokecigarettes.
Smoking increases the risk of heartdisease and a study of British doctorsfound smokers had around a 60%greater chance of dying from heartdisease than non- smokers.
The prevalence of smoking is higher inScotland and Northern Ireland comparedto England and Wales.
Around 1/4 of adults in Englandare obese.
Around 30% of boys and girls aged 2to 15 in England and Scotland areoverweight or obese.
Only 1/3 of men and women currentlyeat the recommended five portions offruit and veg per day in Britain.
Only around one in five boys and girlsaged 5 to 15 consume therecommended amount of fruit and veg.
More than 1/3 of men and nearly 1/3 ofwomen regularly exceed the
government recommended level ofalcohol intake.
Around one in three adults in Englandand Scotland have high bloodpressure and nearly half of them are notreceiving treatment for the condition.
Around 6 in 10 adults in Englandhave high blood cholesterol levels of5mmol/l or above.
So what can we do to minimise our risk of havinga heart attack or a stroke?
Keep an eye on your weight dont allowyourself to become obese!
Take moderate exercise daily
Eat a healthy balanced nutritional diet
Minimise alcohol
Dont smoke
Regularly check your blood pressure
Minimise your stress levels
Have a non-invasive artery health checkevery 6 months to check your level ofplaque build-up (checkwww.healthwatchersuk.co.uk to find alicenced practitioner in your area)
PAGE 19
Take a natural food supplement that improves cardiovascular health if your artery healthcheck readings are high (recommended for some people who want fast track results andenjoy long term arterial health)
Drink 2-3 litres of good quality water daily
Surround yourself with positive thoughts, actions and people
Self Help
Know your own body. Listen to your intuition as well as checking for physical symptoms such
as tingling fingers, chest pain, and slurred speech.
Look after your body. Consider some of the points above. If you have much to improve in
terms of lifestyle changes, then tackle 1 area at a time so that you are not overwhelmed.
Dont go mad on exercise unless you know how fit you are on the inside especially extreme
sports or running log events. We hear too often about runner who push themselves hard and
then die. Take a look at our case study that saved the life of a runner in 2013.
A Healthy 2015
The risk factors for CVD are also the same for diabetes and cancer. You will be doing yourself
a great service by starting 2015 with a view to improving your overall health and wellbeing.
If you need help, then feel free to contact me to share your personal challenges. I can probably
give you a few pointers from my own wide experience.
Statistics are taken from the British Heart Foundation 2010update
Most importantly DONT PANIC poor arterial health IS
REVERSIBLE! I wish you a happy and healthy 2015.
Health Risk follows.by adopting the above lifestyle
changes you may not die from a heart attack or a stroke
but please check as you cross the road it would be
horrid to get run over by a bus !!

A BALANCED lifeHow The Balance Procedure changed mine
Photographs: moreguefile - trestletech/ imagebase/ freedigitalphotos.net - dan
It all began in 2008, when my husband brought home a gift he had received as a
thank you from one of the lecturers at Cambridge college (where he ran the print
facility.) He had actually printed the book for Jenny Coxs launch of The Balance
Procedure (TBP).
That year I had given birth to our son, Dylan. I had dreamt of him at the start of my
divorce case years before, however I had been on HRT for 8, nearly 9 years, my
periods had stopped 8 years before and Id had all the symptoms of an early
menopause. In my dream, I knew this child was mine but I didnt know how but I did
know I was having lots of these dreams. My divorce (plus other related cases) were
proving a pretty horrendous experience and I asked the Universe and the Powers
that Be to find the best person for me, and along came my now husband. Then, I
had my tarot cards read for the first time in the November 2007 and lo and behold the
lady saw a baby. I insisted to her it couldnt be mine as I really couldnt get pregnant
but amazingly, by the end of May the following year I found myself 14 weeks
pregnant!
I could not go back to the way I had seen the world before, Ive always been aware of
other existences but now I had my own proof that life really isnt what we are lead to
believe. For this reason my husband gave me Jennys book. Well, it has, and still is,
changing my life. I read it avidly because it had brought everything I had ever
understood, felt and seen together and I just got TBP.
Then one day I found Jennys email address inside the book and contacted her. It
transpired that Jenny and Alan Cox were going to be taking part in the Angel Fair in
Bury St Edmunds, where my husband is from, so it was a great opportunity to go
and meet her.
PAGE 24
It was an amazing meeting, she has the most
wonderful, altruistic energy Ive ever felt! She just
glows. She told me I would be a practitioner and
I confess I really wasnt prepared for that
because I was happy being a tattoo artist and Id
only just set up my new studio. I couldnt see
myself in any other way at that time.
Back then there were 4 sets of symbol cards and
I tried them out occasionally but hadnt really got
into it. However, I spent the next 3 years telling
all of my tattoo clients about it until it dawned on
me - why wasnt I doing this? I decided I would
go along to a workshop and find out more.
It was September, a usually busy month for me
but ironically my diary was clear. There was a
workshop not too far away from me so I booked
myself a place and I absolutely loved it! I had the
most amazing trainer, called Beth and I realised
that I would have loved to be doing the same as
her. I was so enthusiastic I kept interjecting quite
a lot during the day!
I joined the Facebook TBP page and got talking
to a couple of other practitioners-one of whom
said I should really be doing this. I found that
Beth was running a Level 2 in October and I
booked to go along. I was massively out of my
comfort zone and I felt like I was being pushed
and pulled along by another force, quite apart
from myself.
Arriving at the course, felt rather surreal but once
again I loved it and from this course I can now
number some very good friends. Jenny
assessed and passed my case studies with
some wonderful feedback on how I had really
grasped the essence of TBP, however I really
wanted to run workshops, which meant
moving on to Trainers Training.
This started out as a very nerve wracking
experience for me as it was a large group
with various therapists, existing trainers and
even a clinical hypnotherapist from Harley
Street! I was a teensy bit terrified when it
came to tell the group that I was a tattoo
artist; I neednt have been as Jennys always
loved that I dont have a therapy background
and encourages me to use these other
aspects of myself. I qualified and am one of
the few trainers in the UK.
I have used TBP almost every day without
fail since September 2012, it has honestly
changed my life and so many of those I have
taught. I can safely say I am quite a different
person even to the person I was a year ago. I
am naturally very shy and quiet and TBP is
simply not allowing me to be that person, Im
having to be visible and give talks to spread
the word that is this wonderful technique.
The Balance Procedure is a brand new way
of working with energy. Before taking part in
those workshops I had taken my Reiki
attunements but it just didnt do it for me like
TBP doesTBP is just so quick-it literally
goes for the jugular, its direct and extremely
powerful. It can work very quickly indeed.
Two of the early ways in which I saw
transformation was firstly when my cat nearly
lost his eye and took just 5 days to balance
PAGE 25Photographs: freedigitalphotos.net - David Castillo Dominici
and secondly when I found Id had a slipped disc in my neck for 2 years which, much to my
physios amazement, I cleared this in 2 weeks.
Owing to the increasing energies on our planet we now only balance anything like this for 3 days.
Since then Ive used TBP effectively with other animals, including a horse as well as with children
with autism and learning difficulties. From preparing for exams to some complicated business
meetings with some excellent outcomes.
By now Im guessing you are wondering what TBP is? It is an energy technique that enables us
to create at our highest potential. The picture we are sending to the Universe is amplified by the
raising of our vibration, using heart centred intention. We are clear in our focus, and the
frequency (feeling) the Universe receives, matches what we are looking to create. We dispatch
this to The Universe allowing it to answer in the best way for us. This can often be with surprising
and magical results in which we become the alchemists and the avatars.
PAGE 26 Photographs: freedigitalphotos.net - panuruangjan / praisaeng / nuchylee / Serge Bertasius Photography / lemonade
We are aligning both hemispheres of our
brain, allowing the other 90% we are
currently not using to literally come online,
enriching everything we do. Our creativity
increases and our spiritual and psychic gifts
can surface if we choose. We become who
we came to this Earth to be. TBP puts us in
touch with who we truly are, becoming our
authentic selves instead of who we think we
are. I am still happily discovering this for
myself, it brings in the magic to this journey.
The more I use TBP, the more I discover. It
has certainly enabled me to navigate some
difficult life situations and make some tricky
heart-based decisions, each time I
absolutely know these were right.
Previously I had depression for 15 years,
requiring medication but TBP helps me
simply rise above those feelings to a better
place with a much better perspective. Ive
never had depression again. I have a new
found confidence Ive not had before and a
belief that things always work out.
The Universe wants us to succeed, we just
tap into that source at our highest vibration.
The more we do this, the easier it will be to
consistently raise this and the better our
returned experience will be. We are all
fantastic creators yet so often we do this by
default, wondering why something has
happened to us? With TBP we become
conscious creators of our own destiny and
if we dont like something we can simply
balance it to something we do.

Do you suffer from lack of sleep or insomnia? Those long nights of tossing and turning? The deafeningsound of the clock ticking through the silence of darkness. Your imagination running rampant as your
mind is working overtime. You just cannot switch off, and then just about an hour before it is time to get upyou crash into a deep sleep. More and more people 50 to 70 million in America alone are able to relate to
this all too familiar story.
estfulWITH FENG SHUIRR
PAGE 29
Deep restful sleep is vital to maintain good health. According to the National Institute of Health
sleep deprivation could cause some heart conditions, increase inflammation in the body, impair
insulin sensitivity and impact your immune system.
A good sleep nurtures and supports healing on so many levels by allowing us to restore and
rejuvenate cellular, physical and emotional states. Living in Natural Balance and directing your
lifes energy with purpose and balance is the very essence of Feng Shui. Living in natural balance
is a symbiotic lifestyle for today that reflects the healthy elemental balance of nature, combined
with the flow of our inner thoughts and intentions to support and enhance the well-being of all
areas of our life. Balancing the mind (emotion), body (physical), spirit, (Beliefs) and environment
(Home/Business) creates well-being and a healthy flow of our life energy in all nine aspects of life.
Set Yourself Up For Restful Sleep with These Feng Shui TipsCreate an oasis of calm in the bedroom. Your bedroom should be your sanctuary, a place that
soothes your spirit where you feel safe and comforted. This is a place of intimacy where you can
shut the door on rest of the world and all of the busyness of your life.
ColorThere are several ways to choose colors for your bedroom. The more colors you have the more
vibrant and active your space will become. The most important way to select your color is choose
something that resonates with you and makes you feel good. You can make a selection based on
estfulWITH FENG SHUIRR Holistic Health

the bagua (the energetic map your home) or you may base your choice on your personal birth
element. There is also the premise that the most restful colors for the bedroom are skin tones,
anything from a creamy porcelain to a rich chocolate.
The BedA good solid bed with a strong headboard will give provide you with a
sense of security. Place the bed on a solid wall if possible with a good
view of the door where you can easily see anyone coming into the
room. This is called being in the command position and helps support
those feelings of safety and security.
Do not be directly across from the doorway or in line with the energy
of the doorway. If you have to place the bed in a position where you
do not have an easy view of the door you may use a mirror or
reflective surface so that you can see the door through the reflection
while in your bed. Wooden beds are preferred over metal. Metal is a
conductor of energy and so can speed energy up. Water beds can
cause you to feel a little unstable.
DecorLook at the artwork and decorative items in your room. What do they
symbolize for you? A picture on the wall may take you to a happy
place in your mind or remind you of a happy memory. It may have
been painted by someone you love and so evoke warm loving
emotions.
Be careful not to have any items in your room that are connected to
bad feelings or memories. Take note of any item and what emotion it
stirs within you. Large mirrors are very yang they create very active
energy. Many bedrooms have mirrored closet doors it is a good idea
to cover these with a soft drape at night or even remove them
altogether if possible.
Remove ClutterClutter causes stagnation of our life energy, it makes us sluggish and scattered. Removing
clutter from your bedroom will help create a sense of calm and ease of focus. Make sure that
PAGE 31
underneath the bed is clear and free and all your stored items are organized and easy to find
in the appropriate place.
Clutter is claustrophobic as it closes in our space and makes it difficult to rest. Just as clutter
causes us to be scattered and unfocused in our space emotional clutter does the same for our
Photographs: bedroom - morguefile - phongvan00
mind. Use tools such as meditation or prayer to help clear emotional clutter, write a journal and
express your thoughts on paper, take some time before bed to unwind and clear your mind.
Keep Work Out of the BedroomOh, how many times have we been tempted to set up our home office in the corner of the
bedroom? Perhaps bring papers to bed with us, or work related materials to read. By doing so we
are allowing our work to invade our private sanctuary and keep our minds busy. It is so much
healthier for you to leave work in its designated space on the other side of the door.
Electronics and EMFIn todays world we have all embraced the gifts of technology. Where would we be without our
televisions and laptops, cell phones, wireless tablets and book readers. By bringing our
televisions into the bedroom we are inviting the world inside with us. What happened to our
sanctuary? The stimulating energy of electricity is very disruptive to our relaxation and sleep.
Wireless technology has many benefits of convenience but the electrical pollution from cell
phones and wi fi are reported to cause serious problems with our health. Keep the bedroom a
safe zone and remove the disruptive electrical stimulation. Bring in some small plants or greenery
to help reduce the EMF. Plants can also be used to soften sharp edges and help bring in life and
texture.
Supporting Your SleepBring items in your room that make you feel nurtured. Linens with textures to soothe and balance,
diffuse calming essential oils, Salt lamps to emit healthy ions, unwind with prayer, meditation and
visualization. Sweet dreams.

Perfect PateIngredients:
I cup sundried tomatoes (drain off the
oil)
2 cups walnuts (soak them in water
overnight for better taste)
10 sage leaves
Raw
This seems too simple to be real, but it does work and is delicious. We
sometimes get a bit bored of nut butters and marmite, but still want
something savoury and this is perfect. Throw everything into a food
processor, no need for any chopping, and whizz away. You can add salt
and pepper to taste if required but we have never felt the need
You can choose how coarse you like your pate, but some of our family
are quite fussy so we usually go for a very smooth consistency. This is
especially nice on warm toast on a rainy afternoon. It would keep in an air
tight container for a 3-4 days in the fridge. It can also make a nice gift or

Tightening his grip on his coat, as the wind howled about him, Little Spirit glanced up, beyond the
bland monochrome school building, to the greying skies above. A young sparrow struggled alone
against the violent gale as its host remained perched amongst the vigorously swaying branches.
The class bell loudly chimed, bringing Little Spirit back into the now, as he leaned into the wind,
making his way to his art class. Sucked into the room upon opening the door of the art class, he
was by the met by tens of sterilised eyes, gazing vacantly at an image on the blackboard.
Youre late again Little Spirit, he barely heard, uttering in a low monotone voice coming from the
direction of the teacher. Sit down, get your colouring pencils and pastels out and draw what you
see on the board, the teacher continued, without waiting for Little Spirit to answer.
Finding a seat at the edge of the grey and blue uniformed sea of his classmates, Little Spirit took
out his art material and glanced at the image on the board. It was pale sun lit landscape,
dominated by a single, isolated tree.

Taking a deep breath in, he closed his eyes
and opened his senses, allowing his
imagination guide him through that darkened
landscape. It seemed like minutes when he
heard his teacher call time. Awakening from
his trance, he quickly glanced around. His
heart sank. Had he done the exercise
incorrectly?
Surrounding him were carbon replicas of the
original image. Cheeks reddening, heart
sinking, stomach turning, he felt the attempt of
those hollowed eyes bore into his soul, as he
heard the whispering and sniggering.
What is this?
You asked me to draw what I saw
But that looks nothing like the image on the
board
Im sorry sir, but I dont understand.
I told you to draw what you saw
I did
But that is NOT the picture that I see
But it what I see, sir.
Please explain.
The lone sparrow battling against the wind
momentarily flashed through Little Spirits
mind, as he took a moment to compose
himself, before continuing,
It would seem that the tree is standing alone.
But I dont see that it is. If you look carefully,
you will see how connected it is to everything
around it. In its highest boughs the world
rustles as its branches reach towards the
skies, touching the Golden Gateway and
bringing its light to earth, so that the creatures
of the earth can use its life sustaining energy
in its fruit and leaves. Its roots borrow deep,
spreading infinitely connecting us to all that
has been. Its trunk provides a home for the

squirrels; its branches home to countless bird. A tree draws down from the ether the breath of god into
the Earth as it stretches out into the wind to capture and spread ideas amongst all those who listen.
Mouth agape, the silence of the room deafening, Little Spirit opened his eyes and knew that he was
alone.
But all I wanted you to do was to replicate the picture
I did
The prevailing mind-set of our modern culture tends to dismiss the interior dimension of life as being
too subjective, neither quantifiable nor evidence based, therefore not consistent or reasonable.
Consequently you are not encouraged to listen to, or trust, your inner voice.
Yet everything begins with a thought In the beginning was the Word Creation first forms and
comes into being on the inner planes of your consciousness, beginning with the most ordinary things

a thought, that stimulates your imagination, fuels your emotions and ultimately your actions. But
remember, those thoughts are initially INVISIBLE - they cannot neither be seen nor plucked froma tree. The source of your material world therefore lies in the invisible realm of energy.
As you think so shall you be
Seven little words that nicely sum up one of twelve dimensions of your consciousness: Fixed Air
or Aquarius. Because of the existence of Fixed Air, not only can you think for yourself but you
also have the ability to anchor those ideals
within your soul; to hold stedfast those truths
that resonate for whatever soul reason; and
to question the origin of where those
thoughts arise.
The social matrix you live within keeps you
busy, exhausted, worried, anxious and
fearful; it is intentionally superficial; and has
been ultimately designed to bleed your
creativity, your ability to think for yourself
and to cultivate a rich, colourful inner world.
Within you, however, resides a core that
remains unaltered by the opinions and
beliefs of other people. It is a core that you
must tap into if you are going to live your
truth. Being true to yourself means you have
to trust and follow your inner voice. This can
be frightening especially if it leads you away

from a path that others want you to walk. It may feel that risk is required but really that is an
illusion because by listening to your inner guidance system - your intuition - means that you have
to get out of your head and listen to your gut.
Every year, from the 20th January through to the 19th February as the Sun traverses on its
imagined path around the signs of the zodiac, the Earth Realm enters a phase that prompts
awareness of the power of your inner voice. However, the early part of 2015 contains an extrapiece of magic!! We will encounter two New Moons in Aquarius one on the day that the Sun
PAGE 40
Keep your heart clearAnd transparent,
And you willNever be bound.
A single disturbed thoughtCreates ten thousand distractions.
Daigu Ryokan (1758-1831)
breezes into Aquarius from Capricorn on the 20th January, and another on the day that the Sun
dives head long into the Piscean oceans on the 18th February.
Moreover, Mercurius will take a leaf from Micky Rourkes plant and stay nine and a half weeks in
Aquarius, as he decides to Retrograde on the 21st January until the 11th February (he usually
spends two to three weeks in any given sign)! This means that you not only get to reignite your
inner voice twice, you also get a chance to explore the thought forms that influence your thinking.
Your mind is active all day long.
Thousands of thoughts pass through you
on a daily basis like a meandering river
winding across a floodplain. Most of these
thoughts are scattered, undifferentiated
and noisy. Since your thoughts are the
energy that you act upon and given that
energy follows the attention you give
something, it is important to examine
those thoughts. How many of them are
negative? There will probably be NO
place to park; With my luck it will never
work out; Ive not prepared enough; If
only I had more time
The list is endless. Moreover, are your
thoughts influenced by some external
factor like your parents; your culture; your
gender; your age; your education? Do
those thoughts originate from a positive
and conscious place? What purpose are they serving you? Do they match with your personal
philosophy, or are they deeply etched into your soul?
As the solar vibration turns inwards (fixed) upon your own thoughts (air) and as the Mind (mercury)
becomes more reflective (retrograde) and sensitive to your inner voice (Fixed Air), it would be useful
to pause and reflect upon the nature of the persistent thoughts that underlie your actions. Are they
YOUR thoughts or are they someone elses? Perhaps you can start with the negative thought forms
such as Im not good enough; Im not worthy; Im too busy; I should/ I could/ I ought to.
Photographs: morguefile - markgraf
PAGE 41
Those thoughts create their own reality and
since we reside within a world that will
eagerly support those lower vibrational
entities, it is not hard to see how virulent
those negating concepts are within each of
us. Those thoughts are encouraged
because they keep you trapped and keep
you conformed within a consensus reality.
Given that you perceive with your mind, you
dont see with your eyes, by freeing your
mind, choosing wisely who you read, listen
to and being mindful of the intention
underlying what you speak, you take the
first step in creating a more conscious
reality. Imagine what your world would be
like if you stripped away the layers of
external thought forms that influence your
reality and focused only on what you truly
think and believe! Little Spirit did that,
despite the pressure to replicate, as
opposed to innovate, the art work. He tuned into his inner Aquarian and so too can you. During
this mammoth Aquarian start to 2015, hold fast to your dreams and listen to your inner voice, as
they are the seedlings of your reality. Access the courage and strength that surges through your
veins, after all you know what the right thing to do is and let this moment be the ground from
which all of your future actions and intentions manifest.
In summary, I would love you to take the time to reflect on some of the following questions during
the two forthcoming Aquarian New Moons and the Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius:
1. What ideals have moulded and shaped your mind
2. Who has moulded and shaped your mind
3. What are the underlying scripts that have shaped and influenced your thoughts
Photographs: morguefile - oleander
PAGE 42
If you want to tune into your body awareness and intuition concerning the nature of those
persistent ideas feel free to do so, as your own intelligence will guide you as to what you need to
centre yourself on this coming month. For those interested in gaining an objective insight into the
arena of your birth chart, therefore life, that will be triggered by this lunation, please click on the

PAGE 47
I know its a bit early in the season, but
its an ideal time to start planning what
you would like to grow this coming year.
But before you do, there are a few
chores to be done if you havent done
them already.
I grow my spuds in containers so the
first chance I get, I will have to empty
them, and prepare them ready to plant
my first early spuds. It always pays to
keep everything as clean as possible
and I try not to use the same soil year
upon year for the same crop. Put the
soil from last years winter potato crop in
plastic bags and stand them as close to
your compost heap as you can. When
fully washed then place them where
they will spend the growing season as
they get quite heavy to lug around.
Photographs: freedigitalphotos.net - zirconicusso, Master Isolated Images / moreguefile - Farmer T
PAGE 48
Next empty the compost bin, starting
from the bottom. I sieve the compost to
remove any bulky material that may not
have completely broken down before
placing the sifted compost in the base of
my potato growing bins to a depth of
15cm (6). Adding a couple of handfuls
of organic fertiliser and mix it well in.
Next the seed potatoes.
I use Charlotte or Maris Bard, now is the
time to purchase them as they dont
hang around on the garden centre shelf
for long. The next step is to chit your
potatoes, which means putting your seed
potatoes in a frost free environment and
encouraging them to shoot. A shed or
garage is ideal and if you can get hold of
them empty egg boxes are perfect for
this process, as they support the
potatoes whilst preventing them from
touching one another. I also like to place
a sheet of newspaper over them but do
keep checking them for mice and rat
damage.
A trick I use in my fight against these
pests, is wire mesh and polythene, this
serves two purposes; one the wire
prevents the rats from getting into my
bins and two, the polythene helps warm
the soil and keep out the frost and rain.
I also use potato growing bins that are at
least 15 high and have smooth sides
which seems to deter the mice from
climbing them. I prepare my bins now, so
that by the time the potatoes have been
chitted, everything is ready for planting in
about mid February to the beginning of
March. I also smear a layer of petroleum
jelly about an inch (25cm) wide round the
outside of my containers about 50cm
(2inches) from the top to ward off slugs
and snails.
Once the shoots on the seed potatoes
reach a height of 15cm (6) I plant them
and then keep topping up with compost. I
keep doing this until the bin is full, then its
a question of not letting the bins dry out
and waiting for the plants to flower. I
usually plant three potatoes to a bin.
If you are growing your tomato plants from
seed this year now is the time to plant
them. I use recycled plastic mushroom
trays from the supermarket as a seed tray.
Again I use sifted compost to a level just
below the top of the tray, lightly
compacted. Make five shallow grooves
with the end of a pencil, starting at about
PAGE 49
10 cm in from the end. Then make a
grove between the outer groves and
centre. Place three seeds in each grove
and cover with just enough soil so that
you cant see the seeds. Water the
seeds in and place the tray on a sheet
of kitchen roll or paper on a sunny
windowsill. I use money maker or
gardeners delight varieties of tomatoes.
Another type of tomato I like to grow is
trailing tomatoes for use in hanging
baskets and you start these seeds off in
the same way as the standard tomato. I
use tumbling Tom,. Of course if you
dont want to go to the trouble of starting
your tomatoes from seed you can always
get them from your nearest garden centre
but make sure you choose nice dark green
compact plants and avoid long stringy
ones. The stockier plants are stronger and
are more likely to give you a better yield as
they have got off to a better start. Oh you
might want to start a few French marigolds
off in another tray to use among your
tomatoes as a pest deterrent when you
plant them out.
Hope the tips are of some use, have a

HELP OTHERS BE APPYWITH THE RELEASE OF APP TO ANDROID
I realised how imperative it was to getthe word out quickly and to alert asmany people as possible - thankfully the
boy was found within 40 minutes
When things go missing that we care about, it is
hard to concentrate on anything else. Weve all
had this feeling, whether it is a pet, object or
loved one and wanted to shout for help to an
audience that is going to listen. This is where
I-care comes in. I-Care is a new app to the
Android market, already available on the Apple
App Store, that drastically reduces the amount
of time it takes to spread the message that
something or someone is lost by posting it
instantly to a community out there that are
willing to help. Created by Stephen Grant after
witnessing the stress and panic of a mother
losing her child in a shop.
Stephen realised how imperative it was to get
the word out quickly and to alert as many
people as possible thankfully the boy was
found within 40 minutes. It was comforting to
see how many strangers cared and were willing
to help. The higher awareness increases the
chance of recovery. Time is truly of the essence
and getting the message out with accurate
details quickly was the challenge that Stephen
was keen to overcome.
By creating a profile with as much information
as possible on the app, unlike other apps on the
market, details are instantly shared with all

those with the app in the near-by area by
sending out a notification to be on the look out
for the missing person, pet or item. The radius
can go from 100 meters up to 20 miles allowing
a specific area connection or to contact as
many users as possible.
With 6.8 billion mobile phone subscriptions
there are almost as many mobile phone
subscriptions as there are people in the world.
Additionally, it is shared on social media,
taping into the twitter account, with nearly
16,000 followers. Harnessing the power of the
digital stranger network around you and
creating an anonymous community that you
can call upon in your time of need or to help
others in theirs has its obvious benefits. People
are willing to help if they know they are
needed. This gives the user peace of mind that
the message is out there, will be received by
many and that the likelihood of gaining their
possession or seeing their loved one again is
increased.
Using the app is simple. It is FREE to
download and creating an account takes a
matter of seconds. Navigating onto the different
pages is self-explanatory and, luckily for the
eyes, is aesthetically pleasing. I-care is
allowing you to put up a virtual Missing\Found
Poster in the Community around wherever you
go. Without the need to put costly adverts in the
local papers that can take a few days to publish
and the worry that people may not recall when
they think they have seen it i-care offers you
a better, free, alternative.
Helping others in your community couldnt be
easier. And if you are on the move, the app
moves with you. It is not pegged down to one
place but adapts to different communities.
Wherever you may go there will be someone
who cares if you lose something or someone
you treasure, right in your pocket.
So the i-care app was born to allow this
connection to happen. This city doesnt need a
hero, it needs you so download the app and
become a part of this ever-growing community,
aiming to help out others.
