Competitions Brief 11 th Jan 2020 Jawahar kala kendra (JKK) Designer’s Cipher Introduction As a tribute to the father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi, it is honor to announce Fashion Design competition during this event. Keeping in mind Bapu’s aim of promoting SWADESHI, we have designed this competition. Opportunity We take this as an opportunity to show our concern towards the make-in-India concept which was introduced by Bapu for the upliftment of our cottage industries. As Designers it’s a great chance to showcase Khadi as a versatile fabric. It is going to be a shining opportunity for all participants to change our common perception about Khadi being an old man’s cloth & rather glamourize it to be loved & appreciated by the youth.
