This activity is designed to help your student compare and contrast himself with a fictional character. For an example of a completed Venn diagram, please visit http://blog.allaboutlearningpress.com/pigs-in-the-kitchen. Instructions 1. Guide your student as he fills out the Venn diagram on page 2 of this activity. 2. If your student needs help filling it out, offer the following questions as prompts: • Do you love to cook? Does Warren love to cook? • Are you a morning person? Is Warren a morning pig? • Have you ever made pancakes? Does Warren make pancakes? • What’s your favorite movie? What is Warren’s favorite movie? • What do you like to write? What does Warren like to write? 3. Discuss the differences and similarities between Warren and your student. How much do you have in common with Warren? Maybe you don’t write cookbooks for pigs, but you might be surprised at the similarities between you and our potbellied pal.
