Unequal comparisons

When making unequal comparisons with Más que and menos que, the quality being compared is often expressed

between más que and menos que• Más + (adjective, adverb or noun) + que• Menos + (adjective, adverb or noun) + que

Superlatives

• You already learned that –ísimo can be added to an adjective to express a very high degree of the characteristic that adjective names.

• Esta paella está riquísima• Tomasita e Irma son inteligentísimas.• Es buenísima.

To express the highest degree of a quality

• We use the definite article (el,la,los,las) with the thing or quality being compared before the comparative construction.

• El,la,los,las + noun + mas/menos+ adjective
