Sizes: From ½” up to 60”

Class: Ansi 150,300,600,900,1500,2500,4500 Api 2000, 3000, 5000, 10000, 15000

Construction: Trunnion Mounted Side Entry; Trunnion Mounted Fully Welded; Trunnion Mounted Top Entry; Floating design.

Materials: Carbon steel; Stainless steel; Duplex, super Duplex, Titanium, Incoloy, 6MO, Inconel, Special Alloy etc.etc.

Fire safe: BS 6755 Part II, Api RP 6FA, Api 607

Standards: Api 6D, Api 6A, Ansi B16.34, BS 5351, Asme, Ansi, BS.

Services: Oil, gas and petrochemical, low temperatures at minus 196°C, for cryogenic service and high temperatures to 500°C for high temperatures services. Metal to Metal sealing, sandy/slurry service, Sea water, Sour, etc. etc.

Applications: Ball valves are mainly used in transmission pipelines, on-shore terminals, off-shore platforms, FPSO vessels, Sub-sea installations and liquefied natural gas plants.

04 - Company structure

FFFaaabbbrrriiicccaaatttiiiooonnn fffaaaccciiillliiitttiiieeesss Plants description:

Perar S.p.A. has four production buildings in the main plant located in Rescaldina, Italy, 20 km north of Milan, with easy access to main roads, railways, ports and airport facilities. • The first building is dedicated to machining and manufacturing.

This area is divided into two lines, one for small sizes, mainly floating valves and trunnion valves up to 16”, the second line for medium /large size up to 60”.

• A second building is dedicated to assembling, testing, painting and packing. Assembly area is divided into three lines, for small middle and large sizes.

• A third building includes a warehouse and the welding area. • The fourth building is dedicated to special tests and stocking of

finished products. The following special tests can be performed: fire-safe test, cryogenic test, high pressure gas test (with nitrogen), sand/slurry test, (a special loop has been set up) and sub-sea test (hyperbaric chamber).

Here below is a short description of Perar’s machineries:

Consist of 11 Test benches for hydraulic / pneumatic test, to cover full range of API 6D and API 6A sizes 1/2” to 60”.

Welding facilities: • No 6 Submerged Arc Welding stations for main welding

valve sizes up to 60” • No 4 Gas Metal Arc Welding stations for overlay/cladding

on valves sizes up to 60” • No 3 Gas Metal Arc Welding Mobile machines • No 5 Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Mobile machines • No 6 Couple of rolling positioners with a capacity up to

Others In the assembly and testing / inspection areas all new modern equipment is available, to allow a smooth progress of the most demanding orders, meeting any international specification. A dedicated and segregated area is available for special testing, such as cryogenic at minus 196° C with Helium/Nitrogen gas, abrasive condition test, fire test, hyperbaric test in hyperbaric chambers. Additional qualified personnel have recently been hired.

Please note that the following testing activity/equipment (NDT and NDE) are available at our works:

• Visual check

• MPI - Magnetic particle inspection

• DPI - Dye penetrant inspection

• UT- Ultrasonic test

• PMI- Positive material identification

• Fugitive emission (Helium test)

Engineering. Computerisation has been applied to all sector of activity: quotation and sales, designing and engineering, technology research and development, materials and production control, finished product inspection and testing.

Documentation, certificates, SPIR and procedures are issued in electronic format .

Drawings are supplied in electronic format in AutoCAD ver.14.

Perar’s technical Department has a full CAD design and engineering system, consisting of 8 workstations equipped with AutoCAD ver.14 as design software and Math Cad

Professional 2001 for calculation notes, dedicated PC for Finite Element Analysis (F.E.A.), Simulation Programs.

Integrated computer system including hardware (Data General AVIION 8500 and PC) software (MEP by SATA srl, Microsoft Programs) is available in all the following activities: General Administration, Manufacture / Fabrication, Planning, Design, Certification and Quality Control.

Drawings are produced utilising a large extent CAD system. The shop drawing for component and related geometrical data are sent straight to the shop CAM unit, which make programs for the numerically controlled machines.

Engineering staff and project assistance. Perar’s Technical Dept. consists of experienced engineers, who can offer to the project a 35 years experience, totally dedicated to ball valves construction, in different designs and applications.

Perar’s Engineering Department is always able to assist, study, design and test new products, with different technical solutions, in strict collaboration with the project; with the purpose to find a better product. This is an activity starting during the bidding and engineering phase, up to the commissioning and after sales services, which is extended for the life of the valve.

Furthermore, the daily contact with our customers, gives Perar the opportunity to know the status of his goods in operation. It means to have the possibility to know and solve any problem on time, to monitor the market trend, and identify new alternatives and innovative technical solutions.

05 - Quality Quality system The Quality Management System applies to Perar’s production and all its related activities, wherever they take place: in Perar premises, onshore or offshore (i.e. on service).

Perar’s Quality Management System has been accredited by Det

Norske Veritas according to ISO 9001:2000.

Original approved date: 15th December 1992

Perar Scope of accreditation reads as follows: ’Design, manufacture, supply of valves for industrial applications in chemical petrochemical (off shore and sub-sea plants, power generation, gas transport and distribution sectors’.

Our management system covers all work codes relating to this scope.

In addition, since 1970, Perar’s products are certified according to API 6D and API6A standards.

Moreover, Perar has also gained PED and ATEX Certification, in accordance with the latest European regulation.
