Introduction

ADiT specialises in mobile equipment repair, engineering construction, maintenance services, site

labour and equipment compliance inspections for a large range of clients through the mining, civil,

transport, engineering, concrete, defence force and port services sectors.

ADiT provides creative and cooperative problem solving that benefits you with cost-effective

advantages. Our combined experience, team approach, positive attitude, integrated services and

seamless transitions from start to finish ensures ADiT is one of the most sought after partners for all

of your service requirements throughout regional Queensland’s industry.

ADiT is able to respond to your particular needs by providing technical advice, mechanical servicing

and maintenance as well as complete machine overhauls and rebuilds and the installation and

maintenance of additional plant and equipment. We also supply additional personnel should you

require.

ADiT Engineering has operational facilities based in Townsville (Fabrication and Mechanical),

however we are capable of carrying out work throughout most of Queensland.

ADiT Engineering has a team of qualified diesel fitters and apprentices who have been thoroughly

trained in a variety of industries. With this experience on our floor, we are able to adapt to various

tasks to assist our customers meet their demands, needs and time frames. Whether you are an

owner driver or a fleet customer, we are able to develop service packages to suit you. We have a

broad range of experience in the transport, mining, earthmoving equipment and farming industries.

We can offer crane and rail shunt tractor services as well as equipment and power train rebuilds.

Fabrication

ADiT’s team of boilermakers and apprentices take great pride in the work they produce.

Tradespeople from a variety of backgrounds provide experience on our floor to adapt to various

tasks to assist our customers meet their needs. Work undertaken includes:

General fabrication; from one off jobs through to complex designs

Machine mine specifications including fold down access systems, walk ways, handrails, quick

fill systems for both mining and earthmoving equipment

Roll Over Protection (ROP) and Falling Object Protection (FOP) fabrication for highway and

mining equipment

Trailer and tub rebuild and repairs

Chassis repairs

Bucket rebuilds

Concrete barrel repairs, servicing and barrel clean outs

Equipment Compliance Inspectors

Just recently, ADiT Engineering was authorised by BHP Mitsubishi Billiton (BMA) to carry out

equipment compliance inspections for their contractors; both in house and on site. As one

of the only inspection stations in North Queensland, ADiT carries out compliance inspections

on as ‘as required’ basis on road going vehicles, medium equipment, surface mobile

equipment and ancillary equipment.

Inventions

The Directors of ADiT have a passion for innovative and cost saving ideas. Being from a

mining background, they constantly strive to do things better! With this in mind, they

developed a low maintenance, cost effective and reliable mining vehicle to transport

personnel underground. This new design is currently being trialled. Updates can be obtained

Safety

ADiT Engineering’s greatest asset is its people. This is why health and safety is paramount to

us. Safety systems have been adapted by us to suit our team’s requirements. Our systems

allow us to work on fuel sites, bitumen storage areas, powder tankers, remote sites,

concrete industries, rail yards and mine sites. As we deal with waste equipment on a

regular basis, we also have a program for vaccinating our staff to protect them and keep

them healthy.

Quality and Training

Being a locally owned business, ADiT believes in training to better support the community

we live in. During each year ADiT works with the local schools and trade learning centres to

assist with work experience. Through this program apprentices are selected each year to

join our team.

Our training and quality program includes:

First aid training

Fork lift training

Specialised training in welding certification

Construction industry training

Suspension and drive line training

Tool box meetings are held weekly to update our team on changes and to assist with

improving our systems and processes. We are currently seeking ISO 9001:2008

accreditation.
