Community Modeling: Making your Big Ideas Happen An Earth system model such as the Community Earth System Model (CESM) provides an opportunity to test hypotheses about processes and their potential role in the Arctic climate system. The Polar Climate Working Group (PCWG) has resources, through the PCWG liaisons, to assist with access to community model simulations. The liaisons can also provide support for new experiments and help facilitate parameterization development. We also provide post-processing packages and help with analyzing the model output. Additionally, there are computing resources available through the PCWG to perform model simulations and analysis. Finally, there are training opportunities through the CESM Tutorial for the next generation of Arctic scientists.
