INTRODUCTION: Delivering an area of freedom, security and justice for Europe's citizens .
1.- The Lisbon Treaty and the Stockholm program.
2.-The main objective is ensuring that citizens can exercise their rights and fully benefit from European integration.
3.- The development of the European Space of Justice can not be seen as an
isolated action: The EU citizenship and the Single Market.

III.- THE ROLE OF LAND REGISTRIES IN THE EUROPEAN SPACE OF JUSTICE
A) THE PRINCIPLES
1.- LR can contribute decisively to strengthen citizens rights and to remove obstacles for the integration of the single market.
2.- To be fully effective, National LR governing rules must be respected.
3.- The action of LR in the European legal space must be based on the mutual recognition principle, which implies to increase mutual trust.

B) THE OBJETIVES
1.- Making Land Registry more transparent.-
2.- Making Land Registry more accessible.-
C) THE MEANINGS ( ELRA Action within the European Judicial space)
1.- Enhance knowledge of LR systems and EU law. - Exchange of knowledge and best practice among EU LR Community.- Cooperate with EU Authorities. Spread EU law among LR.
2.- Setting up reference information systems explaining the operating rules and the effects of National Land Registries. - ELRA Website - EULIS
3.- Facilitate the access to the Land Registry services, especially in cross border situations. - CROBECO
4.- Strengthen Cooperation Instruments.- European Land Registry Network 5- In the mid-long term, identify areas where to promote a soft convergence
between the EU Land registry systems, with the aim of providing a similar degree of protection and legal certainty along Europe.
Action Plan Implementing the Stockholm Programme
Putting European Land Registries into action at the service of the EU citizens, regardless their nationality or their place of residence, contributes to strengthen their citizenship´s rights and facilitates cross border transactions removing obstacles for the single market integration.
