Please see important dates and events of the East Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists below. (1) Vision One Million and MM14 Baptism Day- June 28, 2014 Every church is encouraged to have a baptism on Sabbath June 28, 2014 as part of the Vision One Million / MM14 Baptism Day emphasis. We invite Communication Leaders and team members to take digital photographs of this activity which should be forwarded to us at your convenience so that we can have your church baptism represented in the Vision One Million / MM14 Baptism Day photo album that will be posted on our website. Please be careful to include the names of those being baptized so that proper captions can be made for each photograph. We would appreciate if this information be sent to the Conference no later than Monday Jun 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm. (2) Support of Jamaica CAUSE Mass Rally on - Sunday June 29-2014 The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica has been invited to join with other Christian denominations and groups in supporting a mass rally to be held at Half -Way- Tree Square on Sunday June 29, 2014 at 5:00pm to register our concern for the issues outlined in the flyer below. Since the issues at stake are of national interest and are in line with what our church teaches and have been preaching for many years, we invite you to share this information with members of your congregation on Sabbath June 28, 2014 during the announcement segment of the service. Members who are able to attend are encouraged to do so and to let their voices be heard crying out for stronger families, righteousness and justice in our land while crying out against the homosexual agenda and the repealing of the buggery law. Members are invited to wear their national colours (Yellow, Green, Black) to this event. The leadership of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Jamaica Union Conference (JAMU) and East Jamaica Conference have given their support to this cause.

“When the word of God is laid aside for books that lead away from God, and that confuse the understanding regarding the principles of the kingdom of heaven, the education given is a perversion of the name. Unless the student has pure mental food, thoroughly winnowed from the so-called “higher education,” which is mingled with infidel sentiments, he cannot truly know God. Only those who cooperate with heaven in the plan of salvation can now what true education in its simplicity means.” Counsels to Parents, Teachers and Students pg.16
