Visa options for foreign nationals investing in the US

L-1A – International workers visaL visas are made for transfers within companies. This is ideal for, say, if your company is incorporated in your homeland, and you’re looking to transfer someone to the US to open a child company here.

L-1A is specifically made for executives within foreign companies opening offices in the US Immigration officers are going to look at your company’s staff count, current revenue, payroll and cash in the bank. You will need proof of a physical office back home. A lease agreement for an office in the U.S. may also be requested.

The immigrant investor, or EB-5The EB-5 category requires an investment of $1 million (or $500,000 in a high unemployment or rural area) in a commercial enterprise that will employ 10 full-time US workers.
