Title: Project 8: Brochure

Description: Brochure about climbing the Grand Teton

Programs: Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator

Date: December 5, 2015

Course and Instructor: COMM 130 – Visual Media, Cory Kerr

Objective: To inform climbers about climbing the Grand Teton

Process: I first came up with the idea of what I wanted to make a brochure about. After I did that I started to sketch out ideas for a new logo. When I came up with the logo I had to sketch a layout. After all of that I started on the computer. I typed up my body copy in Word Document, then I made my logo in Adobe Illustrator, after that I worked on my photos in Photoshop. Once that I was all done I was able to lay it all out and put it together in Indesign. It took a few tries with printing but once I got it perfect it turned out great!

Description: Business card and logo design

Programs: InDesign

Date: November 7, 2015

Course and Instructor: COMM 130 – Visual Media, Cory Kerr

Objective: To create a business card with a new logo

Process: I used Adobe InDesign to create these designs. I first sketched out a new logo idea and came up with a color scheme. After doing that I took it to the software. The first thing I did was layout the background. After that I created the logo using the ellipse tool. I added all of the typography using the text boxes. To get everything to match up well I used the eyedropper tool.

Title: Stationary

Description: Stationary and logo design

Programs: InDesign

Date: November 7, 2015

Course and Instructor: COMM 130 – Visual Media, Cory Kerr

Objective: To create stationary to use for a company along with a watermark and logo.

Process:

I used my logo from my business card to create this stationary. I tried to keep it simple yet have it be recognizable. The watermark wasn’t really necessary but I felt that it looked good on it. The colors were supposed to be simple yet standout and I feel like I was able to accomplish that.

After that I opened it up with Microsoft word and played around with it. I mainly used text boxes. I tried playing around with different shapes but I didn’t like how any of them looked. To finish I just made sure everything flowed well. I got my image from a Fendi ad in Vogue.
