We had a great turn out at our Donuts with Dad! We were so ex- cited to have our dads come and eat with their students. Our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders enjoyed meeting Houston City Councilman, Dave Martin. He came and spoke to our students about his job, city government and answered their questions. The highlight of our October Character Connection was our Pony Tail club! We had 7 girls and 1 mom donate their hair! What a great thing to do to help other children. Several of our grades have had some ex- citing field trips. Our 5th grade students dressed up for the Houston Symphony, our kinder students visited the zoo and 1st grade went to Bayou Wildlife Park. We also enjoyed Red Ribbon Week with fun dress up days. Our Red Ribbon Week was topped off with a fabulous PTA dance. Whew! On top of all of this fun, we have been hard at work learning and setting goals! Hopefully, all of you were able to access your child’s report card in Sky- ward. If you are not able to see it, please be sure to ask us for help! NPE held a mock election on November 3rd. Ask your student who they voted for! Don’t forget that Nov. 8th is a student holiday! Teachers will be participating in pro- fessional development. We will be having our Thanks- giving Feast on Thursday, November 10th for grades Pre-K/Kinder/2nd/4th and on Friday, November 11th for grades 1st/3rd/5th . Please try to attend. We will not be having a holiday dinner in December this year. Please be looking for information about our Science Fair Viewing and The Yuck Show presentation. Thank you so much for all your support!
