1 Character Line-up Liam Rushfirth OUGD301 Paul Davis / Greenheart The Concept A visual investigation of current affairs with a focus on satirical character design. A project which will play with serious news stories / subjects and change the tone. The brief is a mix of the Paul Davis brief, creating a book about something that I am interested in, as well as the ‘Green Heart’ brief from IIDA; a brief which is about green design through communication. Mixing them together, I am going to create a politically driven comic, which revolves around a set of endangered species that shall be playing the newscasters. The style of the cartoon with the tone of the stories is to create a conflicting tone.

Distribution
The comics will feature news stories from a broadsheet Sunday paper and the proposed comics would be proposed to be featured within the ‘funny pages’. Therefore speed and efficiency will be needed to coming up with a comic in a mater of hours for publication.
