Altrincham United Reformed Church, is on two sites. We are using the Trinity Hale site. The building is on the corner of Ashley Road and Cecil Road, Hale. Postcode WA15 9NT. There is some parking at the venue, and street parking in the area.
The church has been recently restructured and refurbished with a worship area as well as space for socialising. It was one of the venues when Friends of Sabeel NW hosted the Christian Aid Gaza Art Exhibition “Through Young Eyes” by the young people of the Culture and Free Thought Association in Khan Younis, Gaza, during the summer.
This is a very special worship space and will be an excellent venue for this Concert and the Reflection Day.
The Concert This will begin at 7.30pm and there will be an interval of 20-30 minutes when refreshments will be served.
Garth will be accompanied by guest speaker Chris Rose, Director of Amos Trust.
Garth will concentrate on the circumstances of the Christian community in Palestine and Israel itself, and the message of hope that the Christian gospel brings particularly during this Advent season.
Please remember to bring plenty of money(!) with you, as copies of Garth's books and dvds will be for sale, as well as other Amos trust literature. There will also be a stall of Palestinian crafts (olive wood carving, needlework, glass and ceramics) and Zaytoun products (Palestinian Fairtrade olive oil and foods) – an excellent opportunity to buy Christmas gifts.
Advent Reflection Day
The NW Group of Friends of Sabeel UK have held an Advent reflection Day for many years now. These have usually drawn around thirty to three dozen people, and have always been thought provoking occasions, we will expect no less from Garth!
