The offacial name of Columbia is the Repuplic of Columbia.

The name of “Columbia”is dervided from the last name of Christopher Columbus.

99% of the population speak Spanish, But the offcial language is Columbian.There are also many indidgeous languages spoken throughout the country.

Columbia shares a boarder with 5 countrys including: Peru, Brazil, Equador, Venezuela, and Panama.

Bogota is the capital of Columbia. It is the 2nd largest capital in South America.

Columbia ia the only country in South America that has a coastline on both the Paciffic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.

The tradional national sport of Columbia is called Tejo. It is a team sport including launching projectiles at a target.
