We here it is Spring!!!! The weather is great and ge ng be er every day. Our golf course is maturing nicely. We have several projects that
will make our course fantas c. We are adding new larger yardage mark-ers with different colors for each loca on.
T will mulch new areas that will not grow grass. We are adding trees at the end of the range and to the le of number 12 fairway and we are
adding decora ve stone at the car paths were needed. These projects should be done in April. When completed you will be
very proud of your course.
We need to replace the windows in the club house. The ques on is the cost, one reason we have not done this project. We are considering re-
placing the front now, the back side next year and the balance the flowing year. We will have a window supplier and contrac-tor look at this now for a quote. We will also get a updated cost for the
total replacement for all windows.

The weather is warming up and the grass is turning green which means spring is here. We are working to get every-thing ready for the spring and summer. Kim Dillard has been doing some touch ups to the tennis courts and they are in great condition, Ben Miller has been making improve-ments to the drive range by adding new targets to aim for, T Dawson has been working hard at getting the golf course ready for the season and it is starting to look good with the grass starting to green up. Jeff Stilley is working on new menus and should have them ready by the end of April and finally we are working on getting the pool ready for the sea-son. We are getting quotes to replace the windows in the Club as they are in need of replacement and our plan is to have them in by the end of the year. We are also looking at what improvements we can make inside the Club, there is not a time frame when we will be doing any work, but we will be continuing to plan for the future and we will do some up-grades as the budget permits. The Membership Committee has come up with the spring drive and as most know, this is one of the best times to at-tract new members to the Club. If you know of someone that is thinking about joining, please have them contact us at the Club. We have hired Melissa Ledford as our Pool Manager for the summer; she is a math teacher at Wheatmore High School and she looking forward to being here** this summer. Also the Pool is available for private parties during the season. Please contact us if you are interested in having an event at the pool. We are looking forward to a great spring and summer and
hope to see everyone at the Club.
Thank you for all your support, David Lehman General Manager

One year ago today Craig Hall, who works on the golf maintenance staff, found his life would forever be changed. He received the worst news anyone could receive; confirmation of cancer. He started very aggressive chemo and radiation treatment to attempt to shrink the cancer on May 25-July 5. Following all these treatments he was prepped for surgery on August 31, where Doctors completed a successful surgery to remove 100% of the cancer but in the days to come, on September 10 he was rushed into emergency surgery to remove an infection and a small obstruction. Craig was able to come home on September 18 but unfortunately had to be rushed back for another surgery soon after. This time he was in the hospital for over three weeks in an attempt to correct any other obstructions that may happen. On November 9 he started the second round of chemotherapy, which lasted until February 15. Craig started back to work in the following weeks, and with the continued support of Colonial Country Club members and staff he is 100% cancer free. Craig and his family would like to thank everyone for their prayers during this tragic illness and recovery. Due to the tragic illness Craig was not able to work for 5-6 months. Anyone who would like to make a donation to Craig would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to make a donation by check [make the check out to CCC], cash or billed on your account, please call 336-472-7715 or email Loretta [email protected] at the Club and she can take care of this for you. Thank you in advance for your help! Thanks, John T. Dawson, GCS and Birdie
