A reputation you can rely on

When it comes to buying your new home it is reassuring to know that you are dealing with one of the most successful companies in the country, with a reputation built on designing and creating fine houses and apartments nationwide backed up with one of the industry’s best after-care services.

In 1946 John and Russell Bell, newly demobbed, joined their father John T. Bell in a small family owned housebuilding business in Newcastle upon Tyne. From the very beginning John T. Bell & Sons, as the new company was called, were determined to break the mould. In the early 1950s Kenneth Bell joined his brothers in the company and new approaches to design layout and finishes were developed. In 1963 John T. Bell & Sons became part of the public corporate scene and the name Bellway evolved.

Today Bellway is one of Britain’s largest house building companies and is continuing to grow throughout the country. Since its formation, Bellway has built and sold over 100,000 homes catering for first time buyers to more seasoned home buyers and their families. The Group’s rapid growth has turned Bellway into a multi-million pound company, employing over 2,000 people directly and many more sub-contractors. From its original base in Newcastle upon Tyne the Group has expanded in to all regions of the country and is now poised for further growth.

Countryside, coastline and city life are all close at hand when you choose a home at Collingwood Manor.

This collection of three, four and five bedroom homes is situated in the rural idyll of Loansdean, just eight minutes away from the bustling town of Morpeth. Famous for its historic market, the town also boasts an excellent variety of stores, both on the high street and in the Sanderson Arcade shopping mall.

You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to wining and dining, too, with all palates catered for in the town. Meanwhile, you can keep fit at the Morpeth Leisure Centre, which offers a 25 metre swimming pool and fitness studio. Or you can enjoy a round at Morpeth Golf Centre, which has a nine-hole course and a driving range.

Collingwood Manor is also in close proximity to the vibrant city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, which can be accessed in 20 minutes by car. The attractions of this popular city are extensive, from its plethora of live entertainment options to its myriad of historic features.

What’s more, the development is less than 45 minutes’ drive from the stunning Northumberland National Park, which features include Hadrian’s Wall and the Cheviot Hills. You can also be at the beach at Tynemouth in under 30 minutes, with other coastal hotspots including Whitley Bay and Alnmouth.

Collingwood Manor is served by a number of schools, including Stobhillgate County First School and Bedlingtonshire Community High School. Further education courses can be taken at the nearby Northumberland College.

Other local amenities include the Morpeth NHS Centre, which offers a range of outpatient services. There’s also a Morrisons supermarket, along with a post office and several banks.

Collingwood Manor is in an excellent location when it comes to transport links. The A1 can be reached in less than five minutes, offering easy access into Newcastle. Meanwhile, Morpeth train station is just a mile away from home, with journeys into Newcastle taking 25 minutes. When you’re travelling abroad, Newcastle International Airport is a 20 minute drive away.
