GriefShare

To help those who are in the midst of a grief journey, we are bringing GriefShare to Northampton beginning January 10th. Facilitated by Carol Golby and Amy Patterson, the group will meet weekly on Sundays from 6:30-8:30pm to help participants through the challeng-es of grief and move toward rebuilding lives. The purchase of the GriefShare workbook is $15, but we have scholarship money put aside to cover the materials for those who need it. If you’d like to register for GriefShare, look under the “Events and Registrations” tab at www.numchurch.org. In order for us to order the materials in a timely fashion, registration deadline is January 3rd.

Advent Remembrance Service

Our Advent Remembrance Service is a time to gather together during the holidays to remember our loved ones that have died, either recently or many years ago. Please join us to celebrate the life of your loved one on Sunday, December 6th at 7:30pm in the sanctuary. Refreshments and a time of community are offered after the service. There will again be the opportunity for you to share a Power Point photo and hang a memorial ornament on our Christmas tree. If you would like to submit a photo, please send a jpg or a scanned image (please no original photos) to [email protected] by December 1st.

Root Café Wrapping Party

Join us from 3-9pm on December 5th for a wrapping party! We’ll provide paper, tape, ribbons and light snacks, you bring your gifts that need wrapped! Contact Lenora Rinella at (330) 592-9695 for more information.

Archery Open Shoots

Register online to join us on either Saturday, December 19th and/or Monday, December 28th from 6-7:30pm. There is a $5 fee and these dates are open to all ages. Register online!

We’re Headed to Nashville! The Youth are headed to Nashville July 17-22 with Group Mis-sions to work with lower income kids, serve at a local rescue mission, and spend time with older adults with limitations among other opportunities! More good news - the cost for the trip is only $299 (plus spending money) and there will be fundraisers to help with the cost! A $50 deposit is needed by December 20th to hold your spot on the team.

Archery Winter Term

Thursdays, January 7 - February 25th will be our next session of archery. Registration is limited to the first 20 who sign up for each session and equipment is provided! Cost for the 8 weeks is $25. The 5:30-6:30pm session is for kids 7-12 years old. The 6:30-7:30pm session is open to anyone 13 years and older. Register online at our website www.umchurch.org.

Christmas Poinsettias

Poinsettias decorating our Sanctuary at Christmas are made possible by the contributions of members and friends in honor or memory of loved ones. To pay tribute to someone in your life while adding to the beauty of the Sanctuary, please fill out the form on the website under Events and Registrations by Sunday, December 13th. Poinsettias are $12 and payment can be put in the offering plate but please mark memo line or envelope “Flowers” so we can track your payment.

Kids’ Christmas Program

Join us Sunday, December 13th at 6pm for our production of Christmas in Black and White. The kids have worked hard on the lines and music and can’t wait to share their performance as a gift to their church family!
