Vivekananda College of Engineering & Technology (VCET), Puttur which was established in 2001, is one of the reputed engineering colleges in the coastal region of Karnataka. The college is approved by AICTE New Delhi, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and recognized by Government of Karnataka. The college has institutional membership of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

Background:

The college is being managed by Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha which has a a history of more than 100 years in running educational institutes in and around Puttur. This is a non-profit organization run purely for a social cause. VCET has been identified as a centre for excellence in imparting quality Engineering Education to aspiring students from across the country and is successful in bringing out overall excellence from its students.

The students at VCET undergo training from our strong faculty team as well as industry experts . The corporate interface is regular phenomenon at our institute. The faculty takes the role of a guide and mentor to help the student to understand the nitty gritty of the practical application of engineering & management theories.
