The college has been approved by AICTE & PCI, New Delhi and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. Offering co-education, the college is spread in a sprawling campus amidst picturesque environment in Hyderabad–Nagpur High Way at Kandlakoya (V), Medchal Road, Hyderabad 501401. Its savvy infrastructure, the state of-the-art laboratories and eminent teaching faculty are the exclusive strengths of the Institution. The college is functioning from its campus in a total area of 2.5 acres and has a well-constructed R.C.C building with a plinth area of 47,600Sq. ft. The college has built spacious, ventilated laboratories (17 No’s each of 900 sq. ft.) with well furnished classrooms. High quality equipment for laboratories has been procured very ambitiously. The college maintains a very good library with a large collection of books and subscribes a good number of standard journals (National and International). The staff members of the college are well qualified and sufficiently experienced. The students in the college are greatly monitored and motivated by the highly qualified and experienced faculty. The students with the extraordinary skills are identified and encouraged to present their knowledge at various seminars/conferences. They are also guided to publish their research work in the reputed National and International Journals. An ultra modern Training and Placement cell of the CMR Group of Institutions ensures excellent placements for the students of the college not only in India but also overseas. Sri Ch. Malla Reddy is the Founder and Chairman of the M.G.R. Educational society. He has been serving in the field of education for the past 30 years in promoting quality education. His democratic concepts, realistic attitude, friendliness, zeal, sympathy, dependability and courage are the characteristics to lead and elevate CMR Group of Institutions to reach the Zenith.

Vice-Chairman

Sri Ch. Narasimha Reddy is the backbone of the Institution and has been instrumental in shaping its serene atmosphere and infrastructure. His good qualities of drive and determination shall be very helpful to the employees of the Institution to become successful in achieving their goals.

Secretary & Correspondent

Sri Ch. Gopal Reddy is the young active and dynamic Secretary and Correspondent of CMR group of Institutions. He completed his B.E. (ECE) degree from Manipal Institute of Technology, (Presently Manipal University). He is also a planner, policy maker, expert and extraordinary group representative leading the organization by leaps and bounds with his work strategy of HARD WORK, SMART WORK AND NETWORK. He is the recipient of the prestigious Alumnus Award for the year 2009 from Faculty of Engineering, Manipal University, Manipal.

M. Pharm., Ph.D.Principal

Dr. Konde Abbulu is currently heading the Institution as Principal. He has 25 years of experience in teaching in various capacities. Specialized in Pharmaceutics and instrumental in developing the Pharmacy Profession in his past assignments as Principal. He has 70 research publications and 45 presentations and guided 15 Ph.Ds and 45 M. Pharmacy theses in the field of NDDS, DFD, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacy Practice. He is a Life member of APTI, BOS-Pharmacy-JNTUH.His vision and mission includes the improvement of quality of education in CMR College of Pharmacy and contribute the best to produce good human resources to the country.

M. Pharm., Ph. D.Vice-Principal and Professor

Dr. T. Rama Mohan Reddy is currently working as Professor, Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharm. Analysis at CMR College of Pharmacy. He has 19 years of Teaching and Research experience. He is a member of editorial board of Scientific Journal, an International journal of Pharmacy and Chemistry and IJPT. He has 30 research publications and 19 presentations and Guiding 8 Ph.D and Guided 14 M. Pharmacy projects. He is a Life member of APTI, IPA and IJPT.

M. Pharm., Ph. D.Prof. and HOD, Department of Pharmaceutics

Dr. D.V.R.N. Bhikshapathi has completed his Ph.D from Kakatiya University in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Warangal under AICTE sponsorship. He is working as Professor and Head, Dept of Pharmaceutics with 19 years of teaching and Research experience in Novel drug delivery systems. He has published more than 50 research articles in reputed journals and has 2 Indian Patents and guiding 10 Ph.D scholars. Recently attended International Pharmacy Conference organized by OMICS INTERNATIONAL GROUP for Poster presentation held at Philadelphia, USA.

COURSES

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) is a 4 year degree course in Pharmacy education. It deals with the entire process of drug discovery, formulation, quality control, clinical testing and dispensing of medicines. It is a professional degree in health sciences.

M. Pharm (2 yr) is the Post Graduation course after B. Pharm.

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) 6 yrs after intermediate or Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) 3 years after B.Pharmacy is a professional Doctorate in Pharmacy and deals with Hospital and Clinical Oriented Pharmacy education and training.

Dr. Sharadha Srikanth is the HOD of Pharm.D. She has 15 years of teaching and research experience. She completed her graduation and post graduation from Govt. College of Pharmacy, Bangalore. She completed her Ph.D from JNTU(H). She has 15 publications to her credit in National and International journals. She is the recipient of best poster during the 67th IPC, held at Mysore in 2015. She is a life member of APTI and IPA.

MBATraining and Placement officer

He has completed his MCA from ICFAI and M.A. (Psychology) from Andhra University. He visited around 150 Colleges throughout Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and completed initial phases of recruitment for several Corporate Clients.

Resident Medical Officer

The Physician, whose consistent career in health care is an asset to CMRCP, has always been keen to attend the health problems of students and the staff. He worked indifferent capacities such as medical officer, medical coordinator at different institutions. His efficient communication enables the students and the staff to receive best diagnosis and treatment to their possible health outcomes.He has been closely associated and supporting in various health care programs like “Hepatitis Awareness Program” and “Medical Camp and Awareness program on Fevers” in CMR College of Pharmacy.

Administrative Officer

WGCDR B. N. Rao has completed his B.E (Mech) from Osmania and AECM from Air force Technical College with experience in administration in JNTU Colleges is our Administrative Officer.

B.Sc, B.P.Ed, M.P.EdPhysical Director

He has 7 years of experience. He has represented at University level thrice for Soft ball & Base ball games. He has won Gold Medal in National Senior Base Ball held at Chennai, Gold Medal in National Junior Soft ball held at Orissa and other awards in Hand ball. Many students have represented at International, National and University level in different sports like Foot ball, Cricket, Throw ball, Volley ball, Basket ball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Fencing, Soft ball etc., under his coaching.

The college maintains an attractive Museum, a Model Pharmacy and a Medicinal Garden with a large collection of specimens.The college offers priority to sports by providing the required facilities for cricket, basketball, football, Tennikoit, shuttle, throw ball etc. Facilities for the indoor games like table-tennis, chess, caroms etc. are made available in the campus. The track and field athletics are also taken care.The College has been well connected to the main locations of the city trough public road transport. The college also operates buses to every corner of the city.A hygienically maintained cafeteria is attached to the college to cater the needs of the staff and students.

All the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC and Minority communities are eligible to receive the Scholarships from the Govt. of Telangana. To encourage the students in the academics the college also offers Merit scholarships to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Rank students of all the classes.

Students have to submit the registration forms in the beginning of each academic year. The registration forms will be provided by the office.

All the students have to pay the fees as per schedule announced. Fine will be collected from students after the due date. The DD/Cash may be deposited in the office.

Rules and Regulations

1. Ragging in any form inside or outside the college campus is banned vide Ragging Act. 26 of A.P Legislative Assembly 1997. Those who indulge in the uncivilized activity are liable for severe disciplinary action besides being liable for prosecution.

2. All the students must come with a decent dress code. Odd looking Jeans, T-Shirts and facial make ups are strictly prohibited in order to maintain the professional atmosphere.

3. Punctuality and discipline in attending Theory and Practical classes must be maintained.

4. All the students must pay the college fee within the stipulated period, failing which they will not be allowed to the classes.

5. All the students of B. Pharm must put up 65 to 75 % and of Pharm. D must put up 80%, failing which they will be detained from that academic year according to the norms of JNTU Hyderabad and no medical leave facility for Pharm. D students as per PCI norms.

6. Use of cell phone is strictly prohibited in the class rooms and corridors, in such cases, the phone will be ceased for that semester and the student will be suspended from classes for 2 weeks.

7. Students must bring their own accessories such as class note book, lab observation note books, apron, match box, weight box etc. individually to avoid inconvenience to the lab assistants.

8. Inappropriate behavior by the students in the college campus is strictly prohibited.

9. Students must follow the academic discipline in all aspects and deal with the faculty and non teaching staff in respectful manner.

10. Any kind of arrogance, unnecessary arguments and misbehavior by the students with the staff members will be punished, which may even lead to suspension from the classes.

11. Any kind of damage to the college property, lab instruments will be seriously punishable and the cost of the article will be implied as breakage fee.

12. Except during break timings, students should not disturb other classes. If any period is vacant, they can go to library.

13. Each student can avail 2 library books and must return them as per the directions of Librarian.

Above rules and regulations must be followed by the students for the smooth functioning of the college.

For better monitoring and guidance students and parent’s feedback will be taken periodically. Mentoring of students by Faculty will be a regular feature.

• The new batch of students every year is inducted into the college culture and traditions apart from rules, regulations and norms of the college. Students will be given students hand book consisting the details of all the procedures, policies of the college with regard to discipline, examinations, attendance, results etc. It will also contain information on various facilities provided by the college like library, canteen, transportation, etc.

• The College organizes Fresher’s day where the Second year students welcome the Freshers. Principal and Department Heads will grace the occasion.Second Year students will organize cultural events and conduct competitions for Freshers. Refreshments will be provided by the management.

• Annual Day will be celebrated in a large scale. Chief Guest is invited from Industry, R & D Institutions, University and Govt. officials. Principal presents the annual report of the college for the academic year.

• Academic prizes will be given for Department wise toppers in JNTU exams. A complete book set of the next semester is given for all the students in each class who have secured more than 80% in JNTU Examinations. Prizes will be given in different activities like sports, cultural, games, curricular, co-curricular events.

• Outdoor events like Cricket, football, volleyball for boys & Throw ball, Tennikoit for girls are held. In door events like Chess, Table Tennis, Caroms at College level may be held once in every month are also for Annual Day

• Students are encouraged to prepare and present seminars in the hour scheduled for the same in the Time Table. Students can form teams and prepare seminars in the subjects they are studying using LCD Projector and PowerPoint presentations.

• College organizes Symposia by inviting eminent personalities to encourage, influence and challenge students. These personalities are renowned Academicians, Researchers, Scientists, CEOs, and important Government Officials and Politicians

• –Amidst excitement, cheer and good spirits CMR Group of Institutions celebrated its graduation day of 2012-2016 Batch for its Engineering and Pharmacy graduates on Sunday 10th July 2016. The chairman and founder of CMRGI and Member of Parliament Shri.Ch.Malla Reddy participated in the event.

The atmosphere was filled with sense of pride among parents who saw their awards receiving graduated degree. Gracing the occasion and instilling Ch.Gopal Reddy, Secretary and Correspondent, Shri.Ch.Bhoopal Reddy, Shri.Ch.Srisailam Reddy Member of management of CMRGI and Principal of CMR Group of Institutions were present on the occasion.

• A well established Placement Cell to provide Training and Campus placements to the Pharmacy students of CMRCP. Nearly 20 students of B.Pharm and M.Pharm got Campus placements in Various Pharmaceutical Industries like Indegene, Vimta Labs, and Apollo Health Street and Hetero Pharma etc.

• The first Alumni meet occurred in July 2012 and was a great success by the participation of the more than 100 alumni of the college. It is regularly conducted every year where the alumni share their views and experience with the college. This gives the existing students a platform to interact with their super seniors and network with them.

• Competitions like singing, Anthakshari, Light music, Classical music, Dance, Mimicry etc are conducted.

Pharmacists Day

Blood donation program on the occasion of World Pharmacists day 25th September 2015.

• An interactive e-learning module based system was arranged as a guest lecture on Pharmacist Learning Management System (PMLMS) for Pharmacotherapeutics and procedure for Overseas Licensure Examination for the Pharm. D students by Mr. Jacob Nicholas, Director- Training and Program, Azimuth India and Mr. Anand, BDM, Azimuth India on 12th April 2016.

• A Guest Lecture on “Clinical Pharmacist in patient care improvement” was delivered by Dr. Ryan Barreto. MBBS, MBA(International Hospital Administration), Manager- Medical Services, Narayana Hospital, Hyderabad on 8th February 2016.

• A Guest Lecture on “Anemia” was delivered by Dr. Pragathi. MD (Transfusion Medicine), Senior Resident, Dept. of Transfusion Medicine, Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad on 8th February 2016.

• A Guest Lecture on ‘Prospect of Indian students in USA’ delivered by Prof. Sheldon. Professor, Merimack College, USA on 11th November 2016.
