Steps for the Scheduling Officer:

• Schedule the class in ConnectCarolina using your 89 course (e.g., POLI 89, EXSS 89).• Use multiple sections if needed• Add secondary course title• An FYS can be offered two times as a Special Topics; more than twice it

must receive a permanent number (submit in CRAS)

January 25: Course Schedule Maintenance closes for the Fall Semester 2013 at 6:00 p.m.

February 1: FYS Office begins assembling FYS brochure based on courses scheduled in ConnectCarolina.

Please notify the FYS office if any aspect of an FYS (time, location, maximum seats, instructor, etc) changes after February 1.

March 15: FYS Office sends brochure text to instructors for editing.
