GUIDANCE COUNSELING AND HEALTH OFFICE ORIENTATION FOR FRESHMEN AND TRANSFEREES 1 ST SEMESTER, SY 2009-2010 As the new school year begins, a number of fresh faces and fresh minds were added to the UB family. To welcome them in the university – their second home, the Guidance Counseling Office with the help of the student volunteers from Society of Peer Facilitators, Organization of Psychology Students, Student Assistants, Student Government and Westernian Advocate once again conducted an orientation for freshmen and transferees last June 9 and 10, 2009 at the Auditorium from 8:00 am to 12:00 nn. The orientation activity is a bi-annual event designed exclusively for new comers and it aims to familiarize the students with the surroundings, conditions, rules and regulations, and the services of the university. The first day was intended for the students from the College of Education, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Tourism and Hospitality Management and Technical Education Department whereas the second day was scheduled for the students University of Batangas Batangas City, 4200 Philippines

ORIENTATION FOR FRESHMEN AND TRANSFEREES
1ST SEMESTER, SY 2009-2010
As the new school year begins, a number of fresh faces and fresh
minds were added to the UB family. To welcome them in the university –
their second home, the Guidance Counseling Office with the help of the
student volunteers from Society of Peer Facilitators, Organization of
Psychology Students, Student Assistants, Student Government and
Westernian Advocate once again conducted an orientation for freshmen and
transferees last June 9 and 10, 2009 at the Auditorium from 8:00 am to

conditions, rules and regulations, and the services of the university.
The first day was intended for the students from the College of
Education, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Tourism and
Hospitality Management and Technical Education Department whereas the
second day was scheduled for the students from the College of Allied Medical
Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering and College of
Nursing and Midwifery.
A total of 1,242 students from different colleges attended the
orientation program. Figure 1 shows the distribution of attendees from each
college. There are 12 students from the College of Allied Medical Sciences;

165 students from the College of Arts and Sciences; 233 students from the
College of Business and Accountancy; 47 students from the College of
Education; 272 students from the College of Engineering; 69 students from
the College of Nursing and Midwifery; 155 students from the College of
Tourism and Hospitality Management and 289 students from the Technical
Education Department.
