Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time
From Fr. PaulFrom Fr. PaulFrom Fr. PaulFrom Fr. Paul
Dear Friends, We have entered the final week of the Increased Offertory Campaign. I want to thank the several dozen volunteers who have made phone calls, stuffed letters into envelopes, or spoken either at Mass or one-on-one to parishioners, to encourage all to consider an increase in support of our parishes. The success of this campaign will be largely due to these volunteers. There are many who support St. Francis and St. Joseph Parishes, week after week, by their volunteer work, their ministry, and their financial contributions. They are the foundation of our parishes. But, we need more people to contribute more consistently, so that our parishes can offer more opportunities for prayer, for learning, for fellowship, and for service. You should have received a request letter this week in the mail. Please consider prayerfully whether you can increase your weekly contribution to your parish, and bring your commitment form to Mass on October 28/29. Thank you for your consideration. Fr. Paul

The Increased Offertory Campaign
This week, you should have received another letter from Father Paul asking you to consider a specific increase to your regular parish giving. Please give this request your thoughtful, prayerful consideration. The Increased Offertory Campaign is a program about celebrating our blessings, about giving back to God with a grateful heart, and about strengthening the future of our parishes.
An important aspect of this Increased Offertory Campaign is introducing our On-line Giving Program. It is a safe, convenient and easy way to give – and for our parishes to receive – your commitment of treasure. In addition to the savings from using offertory envelopes, it makes it easier for the parish office to track and acknowledge gifts. It also allows you to give as you wish, even when you are away on vacation or unable to attend Mass. It’s easy to enroll! Just visit our website at www.medfordcollaborative.org, go to Additional Information and select “How to Donate”.
While this particular request comes in the form of a financial commitment, other opportunities to practice stewardship present themselves on a daily basis. Would you consider giving a portion of your time and ability to the Increased Offertory Campaign as a Parish Advocate? To find out more about this opportunity, please call Laura Powers at our parish office at 781-396-0423.
