Lug, lug, lug. Sigh, sigh, sigh. We’re here, we’re here! The members of the cohort walked in the door.
They were a happy group of students, for they were starting a new semester. Their book bags were full of new books and information to learn.
There were six people sitting in the room, ready
to start.
Then there were teachers:
math, science, and social studies.
All teachers prepared for the first day,
papers to pass out and a syllabus to discuss.
People to learn about, places to study, and
problems to solve. All extremely important.
The cohort was moving along merrily. Then, all of a sudden, the cohort came to a stop. Three people decided to get off. Lauren, Jo, and Laura were left all alone.

With a huff and a puff and lots of thought and consideration they heard
The three that were left alone, Laura, Jo, and Lauren were proceeding one more.

Time passed and the cohort was proceeding on. Once again, the girls came to another stop.
They were curious to see what was going on.
Off in the distance, they saw two more shadows.
The girls all got out one at a

“Could it be?”“Is it true?” All the
girls said at once.
“Two more people, two more friends.”
Now they were joined by Jamie and Erika.
Now the count was up to seven. Lauren, Jo, Laura, Nicole, Lindsay, Jamie, and Erika were all listening with excitement when they heard,
Now the journey has brought us here. We all stand together. All seven, so proud.
Our cohort has once again come to a stop. This time, we will be getting off and moving forward on our own little paths.
However, we would have never come this

the Salisbury University staff.
We will now all move on and succeed because of the words we heard throughout our journey.
All seven of us have learned that we also, know we can!
