Getting Started

1. 3n the &elco"e screen! clic'

2. In the List of all packages! naigate to Samples > Models and clic' the Go Sales (query)pac'age.

4. Clic' the button.

5. In the e! &indo&! select the List te"plate! then clic' the "# button.

Next steps

Create a report and style it using the new color interface

1. In the Source pane on the left of the screen! e)pand Sales (query) > $roducts

2. ouble-clic' $roduct line to add it to the ist ob+ect.

4. ouble-clic' $roduct type to add it as &ell.

5. Right-clic' on $roduct and clic' Insert to add it to the list.

6. )pand Sales in the Source pane! then clic' and drag Re%enue to the right side of the$roduct colu"n in the list! adding it as a fourth colu"n.

11. Select a color of $our choice using the ne& interface! then clic' the "# button to appl$ it tothe colu"n headers.

Create a tabbed report

1. /oer the "ouse cusor oer the $age &'plorer bar in the "iddle of the interface to bringup the <age )plorer &indo&! then clic' the Report $ages folder.

2. Clic' and drag the $age ob+ect fro" the +oolo' pane on the left side to the Report $agespane on the right side.

3. ouble-clic' the ne&l$-created $age, page to open it.

4. In the +oolo' pane on the left-side! clic' the C-art ob+ect and drag it to the page

5. In the Insert C-art &indo&! select the *ill !it- data from. option in the /uery section!then clic' the "# button in the botto" right.

6. Clic' the *ile "enu! then clic' Report $roperties000

7. In the Report $roperties &indo&! change the 1ie! pages as tas setting to +op left.

Reuse a style from an existing report

1. Clic' the *ile "enu in the top-left! then clic' e!000

2. Select the List te"plate! then clic' "#.

4. In the Source pane on the left side! double-clic' Re%enue to add it to the list.

5. Clic' the +ools "enu at the top of the screen! then clic' Style references000

6. In the Report Style References &indo&! enable the 7pply style from report option! thenclic' the ellipses to choose the report.

7. In the "pen &indo&! clic' the +aed Report report ob+ect to select it! then clic' the "pen button in the botto" right.

8. ;ote that it "a$ ta'e seeral seconds for the st$les to be pic'ed up. When the st$les arefinished being read! the $re%ie! pane updates to sho& the ne& colu"n title color! and the"# button is enabled.

9. Clic' the "# button and obsere that the report title no& sho&s the sa"e color for the istColu"n itle ob+ects as the referenced report.

Review the data-driven tab names in Excel

1. Clic' the *ile "enu in the top-left! then clic' "pen000

2. In the &arning popup about unsaed changes! clic' the o button.

4. Select the Region Metrics report! then clic' the "pen button.

5. his report has been authored &ith a page brea' based on Sales Region. 6. Clic' the Run "enu at the top of the screen! then clic' Run report 2 &'cel ,889.

7. When pro"pted b$ the bro&ser to open or sae the report output file! choose the "pen option! then clic' the "# button.
