I’m so glad you are all here. Before we start talking about college matters a brief university-level perspective. As you know, President Loeschke is on leave for the fall semester. Provost Tim Chandler is serving as Acting President and Vice Provost Maggie Reitz as Acting Provost. They are committed to President Loeschke’s vision and working to keep things as seamless as possible.
They are doing an excellent job and COFAC is on track. Our college is strong and moving forward.

Budget Planning for the 150th Success of Ailey Camp and continuation of
Ailey II
Updates
TU
Turns
150
We ended last year in good fiscal shape. The college
budget this year was flat, the state allocation to the college did not increase. But we have enough to do what we need and much of what we want to do.
Tom Cascella from Theatre is our COFAC liaison to the 150th steering committee. The COFAC 150th committee, which was formed last year, will begin meeting again soon.
AileyCamp was a big success, 50 campers for 2 weeks in summer 2014. We plan to have camp again in 2015, for 4 weeks.

Creative Alliance Clayworks
COFAC Connections to Community
COFAC helped to support and host the Make it &
Break it Art to Dine for event at the Creative Alliance on September 12th at Skylofts in Highlandtown. This was a successful, sold-out event to learn traditional piñata making and eat authentic Mexican cuisine.
On Saturday, October 18th COFAC will join with Clayworks in Mt. Washington for Firefest. Faculty members Ryan Murray and Phil Davis will provide the music. Rich Holt and Ceramics students will participate. Morgan State ceramics students will participate too.

On your table, copies of TU 2020 plan and
draft COFAC plan On the wall are posters with brief synopses 10 priorities of COFAC align with TU Suggested goals are listed under each
Priorities and Goals Activity
At your table each person take a card and pick
your top three priorities from the ten in the draft plan
Once you have your three, discuss as a group and pick your top three for the table
Write these three on the card on your table and put into the box for us to collate later
Add your individual cards to the box if you want
10 Priorities
Now take a look at the goals under
each of the priorities
If you brought a write-in goal write it on the post-it pad at your table to use later
Goals
Using your six red dots go to the posters on the wall
Put your dots next to the goals that you think are the most important for COFAC
You can vote for six separate goals or use two, three, or even all six on one goal if you think it is that important
What do you see from what we just did? Take a moment to write down comments for
the suggestion box (Innovator Doug Hall says that reflecting and writing during brainstorming deepens your thinking)
Discussion
If you brought write-in goals now is the time to
add them to the priorities already posted Write on the post-it pad at your table Come to the podium and read aloud to the
group Add to the appropriate priority
