Marine infrastructure Planning, Design, Construction and Maintenance The global demand for Australian resources is ever increasing and production is increasing along with it. The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) forecast that export volumes would increase by two-thirds in the years leading up to 2015.* To meet this demand Australia is investing heavily into marine infrastructure. Projects are being planned and implemented around wharf and port upgrades, marine asset management and maintenance, port and traffic intermodal co-ordination systems, terminal management systems and much more.
