VOLUME 5 ISSUE 5 MAY 2012 PAGE 1 Coastal Shag Club We didn’t have any April Showers but we do do have May flowers!!!! Hello Coastal Shaggers! First, I want to thank those members who participated in the Relay for Life shag demonstration held at West Brunswick High School. It certainly was uplifting to witness the huge turnout that was generated by the Shallotte community. What a great feeling to have been a part of it. Now then, did you realize that we are about to begin the Spring/Summer Concert Series conducted by the local communities? All indications are that they have arranged another great array of music for us. And even better--- the majority of it is free! The complete schedules will be published elsewhere in the newsletter. The season kicks off with an event that will cost you a few bucks but, given the offering, is still a great value. The Little River Blue Crab Festival will be held on the Little River Waterfront on May 19 th and 20 th . Saturday’s line-up includes Jim Quick and Coastline, The Rick Strickland Band and the Carolina Breakers. Just make certain that save enough energy for our dance that evening. On Sunday, The Craig Woolard Band will perform.
