Standard Wood FinishesCoalesse’s primary wood finish, Clarity, is a water-borneUV topcoat, which protects theenvironment while providingexceptional durability andresistance to water and chemi-cal stains. Contoured products, such as wood side chairs andoccasional tables, are finishedwith post-catalyzed vinyl, which provides similar proper-ties and matches the sheenand color of Clarity. Due tonatural variations in wood, fin-ished products may vary fromsamples in color, texture, andgrain.
Wood will develop a deep, richpatina over time as the woodages. Mineral streaks, gumpockets, and pin knots aresome of the unique character-istics that are visible inveneers and solids.
All wood products will darkenwith age and exposure toultraviolet light. This is espe-cially apparent with cherry andmaple veneer.
When storing your wood furni-ture, please follow the follow-ing guidelines:• Do not store products in trailers• Store products in areas that simulate office tem- peratures (60°F to 90°F)• Store products in areas that maintain constant, office-like humidity levels• Keep product away from light. Cover products to make sure they are not exposed to light.

Samples submittedfor matching must be at least12" x 12" in surface dimension.Customers must specifycherry, maple, oak, or walnutspecies. Coalesse will producea strike-off within 5 workingdays following acknowledge-ment of the order. Coalessewill not schedule the order forproduction until the strike-offhas been approved andreceived by Coalesse.
Painted MDFThe painted medium densityfiberboard (MDF) is utilizingmolding grade MDF, therefore, the 45 lb density is consistentthroughout the entire thicknessof the board. This allows for asmooth edge when painted.Three coats of water reduciblefinish is applied to the board ina milk or black. The paintedMDF has durability and careproperties like a wood veneer, thus, must be treated as such.
