1 Coal ministry to pitch for JV with railways for coal evacuation The coal and railway ministries will meet within the next couple of weeks to discuss the proposal Manish Basu 17-1-2015_Kolkata: The coal ministry has identified more than 50 potential projects where Coal India Ltd and private miners can launch joint ventures with the railways for coal evacuation, coal secretary Anil Swarup said in Kolkata on Friday. The coal and railway ministries will meet within the next couple of weeks to discuss the proposal, he added. The coal ministry will also ask the railways to make more rakes available for coal evacuation.
